The Brazilian tortoise was picked up last fall. At first, he didn't eat or drink, and he didn't want to stay in the turtle tank. Afraid of life, when catching it, shrink your head into the turtle shell.
After winter, take it out of the turtle tank, put it in a foot basin, cover it with clothes and hibernate.
I woke up in April this year and finally started eating. Mainly feed it small dried shrimp, bought in the market, affordable and nutritious; Sometimes fresh fish is also fed, but cut into small strips for easy swallowing.
Change the water once a morning and feed again. Put small dried shrimp in the water, float on the surface, and the turtle will swallow it with clean water. If you don't have time to feed, put the turtle food in the groove of the sundeck, and it will climb up and slowly swallow.
When you are full, stay in the turtle tank obediently. I'm away on business, don't feed for a few days, and it's okay.
With regular feeding, turtles are no longer afraid of people; Stroke the back of the turtle and stop shrinking your head.
Every day turn on the back lamp, facing the sundeck, the turtle climbs up to stretch its limbs and bask for several hours.
Sometimes it is taken out to bask in the sun, which is regarded as "walking a turtle", and placed on the grass, it crawls rapidly and quickly burrows under the shade of the trees.
The Brazilian tortoise has finally made its home here. Having a pet around can also relieve a bit of loneliness.
