2023 New Fortune 500 Finalist Criteria
Candidates for the 2023 New Fortune 500 need to meet 4 conditions: 1. Adult in China; 2. From the business world; 3. Personal wealth is not less than 7.76 billion yuan; 4. The main business is in Chinese mainland.
Wealth valuation methods
New Fortune assesses a candidate's wealth based on their primary business ownership by:
1. For listed companies, the shareholding ratio is calculated based on the closing market value on December 31, 2022 (the closing price of March 20, 2023 for newly listed companies in 2023) ×;
2. For non-listed companies that have disclosed listing plans, the P/E ratio × equity ratio calculated based on the estimated net profit in 2022 × the closing price of comparable listed companies on December 31, 2022;
3. For other non-listed companies, the ratio of net assets × equity is calculated, and the valuation at the time of their last private placement financing is referred to.
