In 1998, Gao Lianbo and her husband took the risk of buying a new golden pig farm. In order to protect the new golden pigs that have survived less than 100 heads, under the guidance of provincial and municipal experts, she has set up a file for more than 60 surviving breeding pigs, raised them separately, accelerated breeding, and after 10 years of protective development, the annual feeding volume of new golden pigs reached 1,000 in 2008.
With the scale of breeding, Gao Lianbo established dalian Rifeng pig professional cooperative, in order to ensure the purity of the new golden pig pork, Gao Lianbo implemented ecological environmental protection, virtuous cycle pig raising method. In Sanhe Village, where the pig farm is located, 200 mu of arable land was contracted, all corn and soybeans were planted, and 100,000 kilograms of new grain produced that year were used as pig feed. The pig farm covering an area of 60 acres has been greened and beautified, and dozens of green trees and landscape trees have been planted next to the road and the pig house, which have become the natural oxygen bar for pigs. More than 10 kinds of Chinese medicinal plants such as oil sand beans, eleutherococcus senticosus, honeysuckle, goji berries and fresh vegetables such as radish, carrots, cabbage, potatoes and other fresh vegetables are planted in the vacant plots of the farm to feed the pigs, so that the new golden pigs raised will become "green pork" with health care, safety and peace of mind on the table.
Due to scientific breeding, the sales volume of new golden pigs in the past 10 years has reached more than 10,000 heads, in addition to the breeding pigs mainly sold to Shandong, commercial pigs are mainly sold in Dalian. From 2014 to 2017, the new Golden Pig was rated as the "Most Popular Agricultural Product" at the Dalian Agricultural Products New Year Exhibition for four consecutive years. In August last year, Gao Lianbo registered the famous trademark of the national new golden pig and won the "top 100 brands" of the national new golden pig. Gao Lianbo told reporters that she is developing and producing new golden pork canned products, sold to remote areas, so that people can eat the new golden pork specialty in Dalian, and several large supermarkets outside the province have booked their products.
