The spider is known as the "red-armored ghost-faced widow".
What does a red-armored grimace widow look like
The reason why this new spider species is called "red-bellied ghost-faced widow" is because of the shape of the spider, and we will find that these spiders are black throughout, while the part of their abdomen is slightly red, and the distribution of these colors is very grimace, the body shape is about 7mm-8mm, and the length of the spider's legs is between 2cm and 3cm.
And since this spider is called the red-armored ghost-faced widow, is there also a certain connection with the black widow? Indeed, to a certain extent, these two can be said to be relatives. This is because both contain highly toxic. In our natural world, there are many colors, and for animals, the easiest to distinguish, and the most typical dangerous colors, are black and red. And it just so happens that these two colors "Red Armor Grimace Widow" are available.
Why are we unfamiliar with the red-armored grimace widow
As mentioned above, the poisonous spider we know as well is undoubtedly the Black Widow, which may be due to film and television works. And we can say that we know very little about the widow with the red armor grimace. This is not without reason. We all know that things are rare and precious, and the same kind of red-armored grimace widow is undoubtedly the rare one, so we rarely have the opportunity to meet it.

And compared to Black Widow, this spider is slightly less poisonous. And because this spider is quite rare, we do not know anything about other life habits except that it belongs to the genus of fat-bellied spiders in the subfamily Kou spider.
Speaking of the red-armored ghost-faced widow, let's also briefly talk about its relatives, that is, the black widow who also belongs to the subfamily of Kou spiders, we all know that this spider is extremely toxic, so how toxic is it? If we adults are bitten by it, the general threat is not large, but for small children and other people with low immunity, being bitten once can be life-threatening. Not only that, but the spider's venom only needs a little, injected into the rat, which will cause its death.
Why should we study new species
So for us, why should we study the red-armored grimace widow? This question can be equivalent to why we study new species, because in the world we live in, in addition to us humans, there are many creatures, and these creatures have a variety of characteristics, and only by constantly understanding the biological characteristics of this world can we better have the means to solve problems.
