This photograph taken in Papua New Guinea in 1943 by an American war correspondent shows the remains of a mutilated American officer whose arms have disappeared, his leg muscles and internal organs have been cut off, and other evidence found around has led to the gruesome conclusion that the Japanese army committed cannibalism.

In the Pacific Theater in 1943, although the Japanese army had shown decline, it had not yet reached the point of exhaustion at the end of the period, and the minimum supply could still be guaranteed, but the bestiality of the Japanese army itself could not be concealed, and the atrocities of cannibalism had nothing to do with whether the supplies were sufficient.

Along with this photo, there are two other photos, one of cooked human tissue in a Japanese lunch box, and the other of a human forearm skeleton picked out of a pot by American and Australian soldiers, which are conclusive evidence.

Japanese soldiers after the war also testified that the Japanese would eat the American soldiers they captured, especially the pilots, and the liver would be enjoyed by the officers. Moreover, cannibalism is a group act within the Japanese army, and if anyone does not eat, they will be beaten and ostracized, and Japan can definitely not be described as a person.
