Brown-breasted grebe appears in Xiamen Fujian species new record!

Southeast Network April 11 news (Straits Herald reporter Lin Mohan / Wen correspondent Liu Gang / photo) reporter learned from the Xiamen Bird Watching Association that the Xiamen Bird Watching Association director Cheers recently found and photographed a "new friend" in the botanical garden, originally thought it was a "brown-tailed brown-tailed brown ibis", but "the plumage is slightly strange." Later, the members of the Xiamen Bird Watching Association identified and confirmed that this strange-looking "brown-tailed brown-tailed brown-tailed ibis" was actually a brown-breasted crane.
This discovery is of great significance, and the record of bird species in Xiamen wild birds has increased from 383 species in 74 families in 22 orders to 384 species in 74 families in 22 orders. Among them, the order Passeriformes increased from 174 species in 38 families to 175 species in 38 families. It is worth mentioning that this bird species record is not only a new record in Xiamen, but also another new record of Fujian species since Yunhe, a member of the Xiamen Bird Watching Association, discovered the slender-billed gull in Weitou Bay, Quanzhou in January this year.
It is known that the brown-breasted grebe is a very rare resident bird and is a bird of the genus Tateshina in the family Grebe. In Chinese mainland, it is distributed in Gansu, Sichuan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Yunnan and other places. The brown-breasted grebe is male and female , with a dark brown color from the forehead to the top of the head. He likes to act "sneaky", sexually hidden, and often hides in the lowlands to eat flying insects. Because it is usually used to waiting for bait in a perch for a long time, it is rarely found.
According to the preliminary judgment of the senior members of the Xiamen Bird Watching Association, the brown-breasted bird found in the botanical garden this time is likely to be a migratory fan bird, passing through Xiamen by chance and making a short stay.
