Ten years of transportation, all the way to Fanghua, has become a powerful engine to benefit the people's travel, rural revitalization, and promote high-quality economic and social development. By the end of 2022, the total mileage of the regional road network was 1666.407 kilometers (including 26.43 kilometers of expressways), and the road network density was 1.75 kilometers/square kilometers, ranking first among Beijing's ecological conservation areas and fourth among the ten far suburbs, initially forming a road grid bureau of "seven horizontal and eight vertical inner and outer rings". Optimize the structure of the road network to allow the people to travel smoothly
Based on the road network planning of "seven horizontal and eight vertical, inner and outer ring lines", focus on the difficulties of people's travel and regional development needs, increase the intensity of new road reconstruction and construction, make the road network structure more reasonable, gradually improve the road traffic capacity, and make the people's travel smoother.
Focus on the difficulties of people's travel. In 2019, the west extension of Matian Road was completed. After the road is opened to traffic, villagers can directly reach Yunda Road and Misan Road, effectively improving the travel efficiency of villagers in Machangying Village, East Chen Gezhuang Village, West Chen Gezhuang Village and other areas.

Improve the construction of tourism road network. The Huangsongyu Township Mountain Tourism Link Project extends from Huhei Road in the south to Shilinxia parking lot in the north, with a total length of 4.49 kilometers, including 1 new tunnel, 1 new bridge and 20 new culverts. The project started in April 2019 and was completed by the end of April 2022.

During the construction, the Pinggu Highway Branch combined the characteristics of the natural environment with mountains and waters around the road, and adopted a combination of engineering protection and ecological restoration to carry out landscape greening on the mountainous slopes. Cable guardrails and corrugated beam guardrails are set up in the adjacent waterway sections, and for dangerous sections such as high slopes, masonry retaining walls are built to ensure the safety of highway traffic. Set up tourist service facilities such as parking bays, observation decks, and rest areas in the adjacent waterway sections to provide convenient conditions for the public to enjoy leisure and scenery. The section of Huangsongyu Reservoir on Huguan Road has changed from a single line to a double line, effectively alleviating the traffic congestion in the tourist season of the northern tourist route.
In order to further promote the development of eco-tourism in the eastern part of Pinggu District, improve the travel environment in local areas, improve the accessibility level of the road network in Jinhai Lake Town and the main road network in Pinggu District, and provide a solid highway guarantee for the construction of new urbanization and new countryside, in 2022, Pinggu District will start construction of Leisure Assembly North Road. The project is located in the central area of Jinhai Lake Town, northwest of the main venue of the 2020 World Leisure Conference, and is the western extension of Huanzhen North Road in the central area of Jinhai Lake Town. The total length of the project is 1.6 kilometers, and the greening adopts a three-dimensional greening method according to the principle of "suitable trees and grasses", so as to build the road into a colorful autumn, brilliant and bright, simple and open road landscape belt.
Build a strong line of defense for life and let the people walk in peace
Always adhere to the "people first, life first", firmly establish the concept of safe development, and continue to implement the special project of "blanking" highway safety to make people's travel safer.
Promote the disaster prevention and control project of trunk highways, and effectively improve the level of highway disaster prevention, mitigation and resistance. A total of 21 geological disaster hidden danger points such as Xiongnan Road, 208 Road, and Huguan Road were implemented to ensure the safety of driving on mountain roads during the flood season. In July 2022, all 12 water damage restoration projects on 8 highways above the county level have been completed, and townships will be guided to complete 65 water damage restoration projects for rural roads, continuously improving the safety level of highways, bridges and culverts; Highway life protection projects were carried out on eight highways, including Tongwu Line and Pingcheng Road.
Huguan Road disaster management
The water damage restoration project is to restore and upgrade the functional restoration and improvement of the sections and points of 8 county-level highways or above, including Pingcheng Road, Xiongnan Road, and Huguan Road, which were flooded due to heavy rainfall and heavy rainfall in 2021. Through the analysis and investigation of the causes of water damage and the status of water damage, measures such as repairing and adding side ditches and comprehensive prevention and control of slope ecology are adopted to repair damaged roadbeds and retaining walls, improve and enhance drainage functions, eliminate potential safety hazards, improve the safety level of flood prevention and protection, and further improve the travel conditions of the people. A total of 12 water damage projects were carried out, a total of 450 meters of side ditches were repaired and reconstructed, and 1,078 meters of pipelines were buried. 6 newly reconstructed pipe culverts, 418 cubic meters of hardened road shoulders, 406 cubic meters of masonry slope retaining walls, and a total of 16 safety hazard points and road sections were eliminated.
Improve traffic safety facilities along highways. For road sections with frequent accidents and potential safety hazards, carry out refined road safety protection improvement actions to further improve the level of road safety protection. A total of 13 new sets of traffic signs (faces) were added, 49.58 million square meters of traffic markings were applied, and 3,990 meters of corrugated beam guardrails were reinforced and upgraded.
Improve the quality of travel and let the people walk comfortably
Starting from meeting the growing demand of the people for better travel, we will continue to improve the service level of highway facilities, optimize the travel environment, and make people's travel more comfortable.
Implement road surface rehabilitation works to improve the level of road services. In the past three years, a total of 14.45 kilometers has been implemented for 2 major repair projects of Misan Road and Tongwu Line, and 5 medium repair projects such as Shunping South Line and Changjin Road with a total of 17.7 kilometers, repairing and improving the seriously damaged road surface, and comprehensively rectifying the side ditches and highway protection facilities on both sides of the road, so as to comprehensively improve the comfort of people's travel.
Overhaul of rural roads
Actively promote the construction of a slow travel system in Pinggu District to improve the quality of slow travel. In 2022, we will organize and implement 20.28 kilometers of upgrading and renovation projects for four highways of Misan Road, Changjin Road, Pingxia Road and Tongwu Line, optimize the spatial layout of roads without increasing the land occupation, and build a slow driving system or non-motorized passage for cycling and pedestrian traffic, improve the safety and comfort of road driving, and improve the travel environment of villagers. Improving the ground marking of the slow travel system of the main venue area of the Jinhai Lake Leisure Conference and the surrounding radiation road network not only improves the quality of the slow travel system of the radiation road network in and around the Jinhai Lake area, but also drives the development of industrial economy such as cultural leisure, sports and leisure, ecological agriculture and leisure around the Jinhai Lake area.
Implement the overhaul of rural roads and the widening of narrow roads to make the road in front of people's homes wider and more comfortable. In the past three years, a total of 90 kilometers of rural road overhaul projects have been implemented, narrow roads have been widened by 20 kilometers, the microcirculation of rural roads has been smoother, and the living environment of villagers has been further improved.
Beautify the road environment and let the people walk beautifully
With the theme of road environmental governance and green maintenance, Pinggu District adheres to the concept of "one road, one scene", and strives to create a green landscape corridor road section to make the people's travel environment more beautiful; Implement the greening landscape improvement project to enrich the color of the highway landscape.
In the past three years, the landscape improvement project of Yingbin Roundabout to Xinzhan Station on Shunping Road, Yuegezhuang Bridge to the junction section and Pingdong Road has been completed successively. By adding bright seasonal flowers, replanting degraded plants, and enriching plant planting types, the road landscape effect of "flowers in three seasons and scenery in four seasons" is created.

The creation of beautiful rural roads has further improved the appearance of rural roads, comprehensively improved the service level of rural roads in the region, promoted the construction of beautiful villages, and promoted the development of rural leisure tourism and rural economic development. In recent years, Dongsiyu Road in Luoying Town, Hangjiayu Road in Dahuashan Town, Xiada Road in Xiagezhuang Town, Pingguan Road in Luoying Town and Huguan Road in Huangsongyu Township have been rated as the "Most Beautiful Rural Road" in Beijing in 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively, promoting the construction of "Four Good Rural Roads" in Pinggu District into a new stage of high-quality development and providing a solid traffic guarantee for promoting the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.
Among them, Huguan Road, the "most beautiful rural road", is the core area of the National Forest Park, the National Mine Park and the Beijing Geopark. The road is a mountainous road, when it was built, the road was built to a certain extent to damage the natural landscape and biological continuity, and the later restoration of road greening followed the concept of "ecological restoration" and strived to reshape an ecological road dominated by natural landscapes. The plant configuration is mostly natural, with the modern garden art technique of three-dimensional greening, and the green blank slope adopts a layered step method to plant cypress, mountain peach, mountain apricot, etc., to establish a three-dimensional plant community landscape, forming a colorful landscape highlight of green, pink, white, yellow and red, and changing clothes in all seasons, creating a characteristic tourism landscape corridor.
