Former UFC fighter Karl Roberson was charged with burglary of more than $200,000 worth of jewelry and valuables in New Jersey, and he could face 10 years in prison under local law.

Born in October 1990, Roberson made his UFC career debut in November 2017 by submitting to Darren Stewart, resulting in a 4-6 professional record in the UFC.
Roberson's last professional bout took place at the UFC in July 2022. When he lost the third round by his opponent Kennedy Nzekuku TKO, it was Roberson's fourth consecutive defeat and he was removed from the UFC.
The local police department announced the arrest of Robertson in the news. Chief Detective Ryan Jackson confirmed Roberson's identity and he was later released on bail. "Yes, it's the same person, Mr. Robertson. I'm familiar with his UFC career," Jackson said. "He's definitely a UFC fighter, I'm well aware of that, he was held in our prison for two to three weeks and then released."
According to home surveillance video of the home, at 1 p.m. local time, Roberson and another suspect, Darsan Thompson, walked out of the woods near the home, pried open the back door of the home, and the two went to the master bedroom to find and steal more than $200,000 worth of jewelry and valuables.
The two criminals wore masks and gloves when they committed the crime, the owner of the house offered a reward for information about identification, arrest and conviction of the two, and surveillance footage of the two suspects was widely circulated online.
The two were later identified as prime suspects by detectives Jackson and "used the application of technology and cellular data analysis to identify the suspect." "As the investigation continues, suspects in the case have been identified and arrest warrants and search warrants issued.
Robertson was arrested during a car raid in New Jersey after his vehicle was identified in an investigation related to the robbery. A search of the vehicle revealed a 9mm unregistered pistol and an extended magazine, packages of suspected "cocaine" and items related to theft.
Roberson was taken into custody and charged with burglary, theft, criminal assault, drug possession and firearms offenses. Accomplice Thompson was arrested at home and later charged with burglary.
Depending on the severity of the offense, burglary charges are considered a second- or third-degree felony in New Jersey and, if convicted, can result in up to 10 years in prison.
In response to Roberson's burglary, many UFC fans seem to blame Robertson's crime on the UFC's low wages.
Fans wrote: "They really need to increase the fighters' salaries. ”
"UFC salaries are definitely garbage"
"Robertson, a small town orphan"
But in fact, as long as you play well in the UFC, you can still get paid well, and the level of pay is not a reason to commit a crime, and some fans blame this on the fact that the salary defense is too mean.
