Wenfeng Wooden Tower
In front of the wooden pagoda is a torii of Yuan Dade, the structure of this archway is four-pillar, eight-propped three-story style, about 15 meters high, about 10 meters wide, covered with glazed tiles, under the eaves of the Shiruyi arch. It originally stood in front of the Sanyuan Temple of Literature, which was built in the seventh year of the Yuan Dade (1303), and was constantly rebuilt and repaired by the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, but it was eventually destroyed by a fire in the late Cultural Revolution, and only this wooden archway survived and was relocated from the original site in 1982.
This wooden pagoda was built in the 22nd year of the Wanli Ming Dynasty (1594), about 20 meters high, wooden tower, four eaves and three floors, six sides of the eaves, the top of the tower is pointed type, looking like a pavilion from afar.
The gate of the tower is not opened on the central axis, but is built in the northwest corner, facing the prefecture seat of Mihara. From there, entering the tower, you can climb to the second and third floors along the wooden escalators.
The wooden tower I see today is thanks to Mr. Wen Chun's kind deeds.
Hongdao Academy
Founded in the Ming Dynasty, Wang Shu (Prince Taibao of Shangshujia) resigned and returned to his hometown Sanyuan, and ordered his son Wang Chengyu to establish Hongdao Academy, in order to carry forward the Guanxue created by Zhang Zai.
The college sits north to south, covers an area of 8 acres, the courtyard is planted with pines and cypresses, lush flowers and trees, there is a Japanese-style teaching building, the building is solid, the carving is delicate, and the momentum is magnificent.
