author:Bright Net

After the official announcement of the summer

The weather in Guangdong is thunderous

Sudden cliff-like cooling

But nevertheless

All kinds of mosquitoes still insist on "starting work"

In addition to disturbing sleep in the middle of the night

Mosquitoes can also transmit infectious diseases such as dengue

Recently, dengue fever outbreaks have occurred in many countries

Guangdong also released a "mosquito map"

Remind the public to take precautions against dengue fever

Serious can be fatal! One place emergency reminder

Shenzhen released this year's first "mosquito map"

On April 22, the Shenzhen CDC released the results of the city's Aedes mosquito density monitoring in the first half of April (January-15). Of the 425 monitoring points set up in the city, 32 were unqualified, accounting for 7.53%. Among the unqualified monitoring points, there were 3 medium density and 29 low density. All three medium-density monitoring points are residential areas.

The picture above is not only a map of Shenzhen mosquito "black spots" but also a "risk map" of dengue fever. Moderate density indicates a certain risk of dengue transmission.

The following figure is the "performance table" of mosquito monitoring in each district. The higher the score, the more qualified monitoring points and the higher the "safety factor".

There is no specific drug for dengue treatment, no vaccine to prevent it, and once it develops into a severe case, it can cause death due to the failure of vital organs.

What is dengue?

Dengue fever is an acute infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted by the bite of Aedes albopictus (commonly known as "piebald mosquito") with fever, rash and general pain as the main symptoms, usually in summer and autumn. The main epidemic season in Guangdong is from June to November, and the peak period is from August to September, and people of all ages can be infected with dengue virus and become ill.

What is the difference between dengue and a cold?

The symptoms of dengue fever in the early stages of the disease are similar to colds, and attention should be paid to distinguishing. In addition to fever, the symptoms caused by colds are mostly accompanied by respiratory symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, and cough. Typical manifestations of dengue include sudden onset of hyperthermia, three pains (headache, orbital pain, muscle, joint, and bone pain), rash, and "three red signs" (flushing of the face, neck, and chest).
