Tan Shanjie, who started his career in July 1993 and is currently a researcher of agricultural technology extension at the Animal Husbandry Station of Linyi Animal Husbandry Bureau, is also the director of Linyi Comprehensive Experimental Station of the Special Economic Animal Innovation Team of Shandong Modern Agricultural Industry Technology System, a review expert of the National Torch Program and the Science and Technology Department of Shandong Province, a "10,000 backbone talents for agricultural technology promotion" of the Ministry of Agriculture, a member of the Shandong Provincial Association for Science and Technology Innovation Academician Expert Service Group, a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions in Shandong Province and Linyi City, and a distinguished professor of the College of Life Sciences of Linyi University. Since 2006, in accordance with the requirements of "environment-friendly and resource-saving" social construction, the city has established a research group with Comrade Tan Shanjie as the main researcher. Through study and investigation, digestion and absorption, transformation and innovation, improvement and improvement, summary and promotion and other measures, the ecological and environmental protection breeding technology based on bedding fermentation bed has been rapidly promoted and applied in the city and the province. The technology cracks the environmental bottleneck constraints of the development of the traditional breeding industry, promotes the transformation of the development mode of animal husbandry, ensures the quality and safety of livestock products, and improves the ecological environment, the technology in terms of innovation, maturity, efficiency, adaptability, practicality, etc., after practical verification, and gradually out of a new way of environmental protection breeding with Linyi characteristics. And was affirmed by Hui Liangyu, former vice premier of the State Council, and made a decision to "seriously summarize and promote the new model of environmentally friendly pig breeding in Yishui County, Shandong Province, so as to actively and steadily promote the development of pig scale breeding and the level of scientific breeding." Jiang Yikang, secretary of the provincial party committee, also made instructions that "linyi develops ecological and environmental protection breeding, builds modern animal husbandry, and actively promotes the construction of a modern agricultural system in our province, and asks all departments to seriously absorb it and promote it."

By the end of 2015, the province will build 13.5 million square meters of fermentation beds for various types of livestock and poultry, and store 60.257 million heads (only) of environmentally friendly livestock and poultry, of which 5.38 million square meters and 4.84 million heads of pigs, 8.07 million square meters of poultry, and 55.41 million pieces of poultry. The area of fermentation beds and the number of storage columns in Linyi account for more than a quarter of the province.

He presided over the formulation of the "ecological environmental protection pig farm (community) construction and production technical specifications", "ecological environmental protection duck farm (community) construction and production technical specifications", "pig artificial insemination station construction standards", "pig artificial insemination technology operating procedures" 4 local standards, to promote the national ecological environmental protection standardized production technology model, improve the level of pig production provides important technical support, improve the quality of livestock products. In addition, he has published 6 monographs and 42 papers, summarizing new technologies and new achievements, and providing accurate, forward-looking and timely suggestions for leadership decision-making.

As we all know, Yimeng black pig is a valuable local breed resource in our city, with the genetic advantages of early maturation, strong disease resistance and good meat quality. Combined with this reality, Tan Shanjie presided over the project of "Breeding and Industrialization Development of New Strains of Yimeng Black Pig", participated in the national 863 project - new breeds of Yimeng chicken and studied the functional genome of important production traits of broiler chickens. The project takes the Yimeng black pig as the breeding material, comprehensively applies the advanced technology of modern animal quantity genetics and molecular genetics to cultivate the specialized strain of xinyimeng black pig that takes into account production performance and meat quality, and establishes the production mode of supporting lines with different production performance characteristics through hybrid combination and optimization screening, so as to meet the needs of different markets for different grades of high-quality pork products and protect the resources of Yimeng black pig breeds.

In addition, Tan Shanjie also carefully selected and bred a new breed of Yimeng chicken with high product quality, good taste, high feed conversion rate, fast growth rate and high production performance through the study of the functional genome project of broiler chicken. Participated in the cultivation of new varieties of Yimeng long-haired rabbit and new varieties of high-quality otter rabbits. Actively participate in the selection and breeding of new breeds of Yimeng long-haired rabbit. At present, the fluff of Yimeng long-haired rabbit has increased, the quality has improved, and the annual gross output has reached more than 3600 grams, which has reached the initial expected goal of both improving quality and increasing output, and promoting the development of our mayor's hairy rabbit industry. Through the investigation, evaluation and introduction of excellent otter rabbit genetic resources, generational breeding of specialized strains, cohesive force determination tests, breeding and production software design and development, and the creation of otter rabbit macro breeding system, the first otter rabbit supporting line is being bred. At present, 4 specialized strains have been formed, and by October 2016, each strain has been selected for 2-3 generations, and the production performance and fur quality have been significantly improved.

At the same time, Tan Shanjie also proposed and presided over the protection of the genetic resources of Mengshan cattle and Langya chickens. Through 5 years of unremitting efforts, the Mengshan cattle core group breeding farm has been established, and the integration mode of Mengshan cattle core group preservation- good population selection and breeding - commodity group production has been innovated, forming a virtuous circle of mengshan cattle breeding, breeding and utilization, and improving the quality of Mengshan cattle. Langya chicken is a very valuable local breed resource in our city, in 1978 was listed as a good breed of local poultry in Shandong, in 2009 by the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine into the "Shandong Provincial Inventory of Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resources Protection". Langya chicken has the advantages of small size, good meat flavor, egg production, strong disease resistance, good adaptability and high feed return. Due to the failure to properly handle the relationship between the protection of livestock and poultry genetic resources and the improvement, development and utilization of breeds, the Langya chicken is frequently on the verge of extinction. Since 2016, the Langya Chicken Breeding Farm in Linyi City has been prepared.
