New Garden Spider genus, belonging to the arthropod phylum, arachnids, spider order, garden spider family, new garden spider genus. It inhabits dense vegetation, often weaving circular cobwebs between branches or shrubs and feeding on insects.
The photo in this issue is a spider of the genus Xinyuan Spider, which is female. Its body color is more vivid. The cephalothorax is brownish red , with regular brownish red and white rings. The abdomen is brown with an off-white pattern, resembling the flower face of a primitive priest. Interestingly, the female spider in the photo has two pairs of feet slightly backwards, like a masked little person surrendering.
The spiders under the garden spider family have a characteristic, that is, most of the female spiders are "charming and gorgeous", while the male spiders are very ordinary. The males of the genus Xinyuan Spider are no exception, and their males are dull in color and predominantly light yellowish-brown or reddish-brown in color.
The reason why the male spider has a dull body color is because after it reaches adulthood, the main task is to mate with the female spider to breed the next generation, so it is no longer hunting, plus it is much smaller than the female spider, in order to protect itself, such a low-key ordinary body color can make it better integrate into the trunk and tiles.
