Aspiration is one of the main causes of accidental death in children under 5 years of age, especially in children who have just learned to walk to two years old, and the mortality rate is high.

When the foreign body falls into the trachea, the most prominent symptom is severe irritating cough, because the trachea or bronchi is partially blocked or completely blocked by the foreign body, shortness of breath holding, can also be due to one side of the bronchial obstruction, and the other side inhales more air, forming emphysema, larger or small angular foreign bodies (such as jujubes) can block the atmospheric tube, and death can occur in a short time.
How is "aspiration" handled?
When a child chokes on a foreign body, parents should not be too panicked and overwhelmed, first encourage the child to cough up the foreign body on his own, if not, try the following techniques to induce foreign body elimination:
If the above methods are ineffective or urgent, the child should be taken to the hospital immediately, and the foreign body can be removed with a tracheoscopy under surface anesthesia or general anesthesia.

When the baby has aspiration, it will affect the baby's physical health and even threaten life, usually parents should not be careless, should be cautious and prevent aspiration.
Once food or some suspicious food is found to be aspirated by aspiration, take some first aid methods if you have the conditions, and immediately send to the hospital for rescue, so as not to harm the baby's life safety due to aspiration.
