This is the beautiful Nantuo Town in Fuling District, located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area. The town is located in the "several" zigzag inland loop area of the Yangtze River east of Fuling, with an altitude of between 146 meters and 667 meters, which belongs to the shallow hilly landform of the Yangtze River Valley. 24 kilometers away from Fuling City in the west, 23 kilometers away from Fengdu County in the east, 28 kilometers of the golden waterway of the Yangtze River meandering and infiltrating, Fufeng Highway runs through the whole territory, known as the "East Gate of Fuling".

Underwater stones bear in mind the movement of dry water levels
Nantuo Town has a long history, as early as the Song Dynasty formed a market, because on the side of the Yangtze River, there is a 28-kilometer shoreline of Notre Dame Cathedral, and there has always been a small pier.
When it comes to the tourism resources of Nantuo Town, we have to mention pingxi dam, an island in the Yangtze River. Pingxi Village, Pingxi Dam, is known as the largest Jiangxin Island and Jiangxin Emerald in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area. Initially, there were thousands of residents on the dam, but due to the storage of water in the Three Gorges, the residents were resettled to Muhe Village on the banks of the Yangtze River. Nantuo Town still preserves many monuments, such as the underwater stone inscription of Baiheliang. Located in the heart of the Yangtze River in the north of Fuling District, Baiheliang Underwater Stone Ming is a natural giant stone beam of about 1600 meters long and 16 meters wide. The stone beams are only exposed to the water during the dry water period in winter and spring. According to legend, Tang Shi'er Zhu Zhenren was here, and after he got the Tao, he took the crane immortal to go, so he was named White Crane Liang.
The inscriptions and images on the stone inscription intermittently record the historical dry water level of 72 years in more than 1200 years, which has great historical value for the study of the dry water law, shipping and production in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
At the International Hydrological Work Conference held in Paris in 1974, the Chinese delegation submitted a report to the General Assembly with the title of "Fuling Stone Fish Inscription", and the scientific value of Baiheliang was recognized by the world. The stone fish stone carvings on the White Crane Beam not only have important scientific research and historical value, but also have the meaning of "stone fish out of the water mega year" and "every year there is more than (fish)". Therefore, the ancients carved a stone inscription on the white crane beam that read, "In the dry water season, if the stone fish comes out of the water, the trillion years are as good as promised".
Rich in local specialties
Nantuo Town is rich in local specialties. The first to promote the Yudong black sheep. Black goat is a meat-skin type of local excellent goat breed, in 2001 was included in the "National Guidelines for the Introduction of Livestock and Poultry Breeds", in May 2006 through the former Chongqing Municipal Livestock Breed Approval Committee, at the end of 2006 Yudong Black Mountain Sheep Resources Conservation Farm was established in Fuling, in May 2009 through the National Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resources Management Committee Sheep Committee on-site approval, October 15, 2009 Ministry of Agriculture Order No. 1278 officially became a national livestock and poultry genetic resources.
Fuling longan is also a very good fruit. Fuling District is located in the hinterland of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, with sufficient sunshine, abundant rainfall, and no severe cold in winter, which is a rare piece of late-maturing longan production treasure land in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area and even the whole country. Relying on the unique planting conditions, in 2007, the local successfully cultivated the "Fuling Yellow Shell Dragon's Eye" and won the title of Excellent Longan Variety in Chongqing.
Nantuo Town Fuling black pig is one of the few high-quality native pigs in Chongqing, is a local protected breed, and is scattered and grazed on Damu Mountain at an altitude of 1500 meters all year round. Through pure grain and green feed feeding, the time of discharge is more than one year, and the weight can reach 150-200 catties. Pigs drink the water of mountain springs deep in the mountains, breathe the pure oxygen in the depths of the mountains, and grow happily in a natural environment, freely strolling, playing and feeding. After cooking, such pork can retain the original meat texture, the meat is fragrant, tender, chewy, fat and not greasy! Let you find the feeling of eating meat 30 years ago. And it is very nutritious.
Develop green industries
In order to protect the green mountains on both sides of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, Nantuo Town has continuously subtracted from the traditional breeding industry, continued to add to the special planting industries such as lychee, longan, citrus, bamboo shoots and the black pig ecological breeding cycle industry, and realized the beautiful transformation of ecological priority green development.

Zhiping Village, Nantuo Town, located on the Yangtze River, began planting hemp bamboo as early as 2004 to maintain water and soil. When the cultivation of hemp bamboo was first introduced, no one noticed that the bamboo shoot was actually a treasure. Now that Nantuo people have established Chongqing Three Gorges Bamboo Shoot Industry Co., Ltd., a new agricultural industry has emerged in Fuling, and the embarrassing situation of "increasing greenery without increasing income" previously planted with hemp bamboo has been quickly broken.
Nowadays, Nantuo Town relies on the bamboo shoot industry to promote the integrated development of the first, second and third industries, with high industrial efficiency, strong driving effect, and replicable model, and the rapid development of the bamboo shoot industry in Fuling is becoming a typical backbone industry that drives immigrants in the reservoir area to get rid of poverty and increase income.
