According to the investigation of diseases and insect pests, since the end of July, some hemp oak tree species in the hemp oak forest area and public welfare forest of Wugang City have suddenly been endangered by a large area of yellow two star boat moth. According to preliminary statistics, the relatively concentrated and serious Yangzhuang Township Wafanggou Village is about 11,000 mu, the Wangzhuang Village of Shangdian Town is about 0.15 million mu, and the Rentoushan Village of Miaojie Township is about 0.25 million mu. The affected area of oak trees in the affected forest area is large, and only the leaves of the affected trees are left with leaf veins, showing a summer tree winter scene, and the larval damage is showing a trend of expansion and spread.

In order to prevent the large-scale spread of oak leaf-eating pests, the forest defense station of the city's Forestry Bureau issued an early warning notice, requiring all township forest stations, state-owned forest farms and other units to quickly do a good job in the investigation and prevention of oak tree diseases and insect pests. Forestry pest control experts went deep into the hinterland of the forest area to carry out unmanned aerial vehicle spraying operations, and carried out disease and pest control in an orderly and efficient manner.
