For Fans of Ding around the world, the Tintin-themed exhibition "Tintin and Hergé", which opened on August 6, is a grand event. This large-scale exhibition, jointly organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai and the Hergé Museum in Belgium, not only presents the precious historical original works of "Tintin", but also allows Ding fans to come together. It is said that there is such a group of Ding fans in China, who take pleasure in collecting and studying Tintin and Tintin's peripheral products. This reporter interviewed several of these senior Ding fans.

Speaking of my pleasure in tintin's collection, I have to talk about how I "met" Tintin. I remember that on my tenth birthday, with the financial support of my parents, I bought a set of "The Adventures of Tintin" (paperback edition, 24 copies) on the seventh floor of Shanghai Book City on Fuzhou Road. Afterwards, I asked my mother why she chose the Adventures of Tintin for me in a catalogue of books. My mother told me that she herself had read the comic strip "The Adventures of Tintin" in Xinjiang, so she chose this set of books for me. However, when I was a child, my parents also had a tight grip on reading "idle books", so I always looked forward to "meeting" Tintin in the book next time at the urging of my parents.

Time flies, and after work, I start traveling around the world. Seeing the many exquisite Tintin handicrafts and surroundings displayed in the window, I always wanted to go inside. I remember that my wife was still studying in the UK, and knew that I liked Tintin, so she shared it with me tintin's online store in the UK. So, every time we went to england to see her, we went to the Tintin shop in Covent Garden near the City of London, although the store was small, but there was always something new to see. At that time, there were no Tintin stores in China, so in the next few days after the end of the game, I took the subway every day from the hotel to the Tintin shop, and I was very happy.
By chance, I learned about the collector's book section on the official website of Moranza, and I remember that day it was like discovering a new continent, I was so excited that I didn't sleep in the middle of the night, and I carefully read the collection of each category, and then I found that the original Tintin collection could be systematic. Therefore, I began to receive a certain category of collections in a directional direction, first of all, resin character ornaments, small car models, airplanes, etc., which are more suitable as basic introductory collections, I always want to collect some rarer objects, but unfortunately until now the domestic search for a long time. I set my sights on E-bay again, starting with some invaluable lots, establishing contacts with European sellers, and trying to buy a few peripherals.

After that, I started trying to buy relatively high-value lead soldiers and limited edition peripherals, but problems also came up, customs clearance, review and tax payment of items were often headaches, and overseas packages were always less reassuring during transit. At the end of last year, due to the economic downturn caused by the impact of the epidemic in Europe, some foreign collectors began to sell some fine products.
Maybe it was a coincidence of luck. Once, I photographed a 1997 production of The Adventures of Tintin: The Pharaoh's Cigar, in which Tintin and the Doctor rode an elephant together, beautifully shaped and in perfect condition. In the later communication with the seller, he was surprised that There are so many friends in China who love Tintin, and we talked very happily, sending countless emails during the period. Even then my wife used to say to me, "Who are you emailing with?" Laughing so much? "In fact, it was really happy, because I and the seller in France had some consensus on collection insights, and I could share each other's collection experience, and I hope that more and more Tintin collectors will emerge in the future!"

The first encounter with Tintin was in the 1980s, when the lack of information was available, and his good friend's father studied in Belgium and returned to China with a set of traditional Chinese color printed large-scale folios "The Adventures of Tintin". Because I loved painting since I was a child, I was amazed at first sight and found that there were still such exquisite comic strips in the world. After borrowing home to read it carefully, I was deeply attracted by the adventures of Tintin and Snow around the world. A door to a new world opened, and by such a seemingly fortuitous chance, Tintin and his friends, so many vivid and interesting characters came into my life. This is a wonderful memory of my boyhood.
When I went to Beijing to study, I bought a white T-shirt with Tintin and Bai Xue printed on it at the Wudaokou Foreign Trade Shop, which was not yet the center of the universe, and if I met an old friend, I spent four years of college with me. The art sketches of Gong Wangfu, the all-night rush of drawing classrooms, and the garden internships of Su Andhang have never been absent. As a heavy T-shirt lover, if you choose the most important T-shirt in your life, it is absolutely No.1 in my heart, because Tintin, he witnessed the laughter and tears of that youth.

At that time, I had not yet found a sense of belonging to the city, and every day I looked at the crowds of people on the streets, and the thought in my mind was: "The bustle is theirs, I have nothing." Fortunately, the China Children's Publishing House has published a small folio of color "The Adventures of Tintin", each volume is very thin and easy to carry. My commute time has a good companion to soothe loneliness, and it has become a daily pleasure to study Tintin in the subway car. Tintin's optimism and open-mindedness in each adventure once again gave me the courage to integrate into a city and start a new life.

Thanks to Hergé, the genius novelist who told stories with images, he created Tintin and his world, transcending race and time and space, influencing generations of Tintin fans. Who wouldn't want to be Tintin? There is love in the heart, there is light in the eyes, eternal youthful spirit, always walking on the road.
That night, Xiao Jing, who had just returned home from the exhibition, was still immersed in the happiness of being with The Ding fans, and indeed, the Tintin theme exhibition held in Shanghai provided a perfect platform for all the Ding fans. Xiao Jing loves painting, and he told me that Tintin is a young journalist who is always on the road, and the wonderful stories of his and his puppy Bai Xue and his friends' adventures around the world have attracted generations of Ding fans around the world. How can a virtual idol flourish around the world for almost a century? Hergé's design of Tintin's character was key. For painters and designers, Hergé's Tintin is a topic they can talk about every time. Of course, I'm not a professional painter, and the last time I picked up a paintbrush was in 1993. Fifteen years ago, I had just graduated from college, and in the early spring of the following year, I met Wang Sauce in a pet store across a glass cage. I only remember the first time I saw her, the shallow smile that overflowed seemed to be able to stretch indefinitely. I liked her, identified her, there was no reason, nothing more, I couldn't say why, but it seemed to explain a lot of problems in an instant. By this summer, Wang Sauce was exactly 15 years old. If you convert the age of an adult, she should be eighty years old, both eyes have cataracts, and she still has an innocent light in both eyes, and lives a "life of eating and sleeping" in an orderly and comfortable way.

The name Milou is said to have been taken by the author Hergé from the initials of his first love girlfriend Marie-Louise. For me, the status of Wang Sauce in my heart is "white snow" to Tintin.

My collection of Tintin peripherals includes: comic strips, diaries, plush dolls, plastic models, stamps, postcards, towels... In 2017, I made a special trip to the Tintin store in Brussels, Belgium. There is a Zhang ChongRen Memorial Hall in Shanghai's Qibao Old Street, which exhibits part of the collection, replicas and newspaper clippings about the Blue Lotus. It is said that it was with the help of Zhang Chongren that Hergé completed the "Blue Lotus" special collection of The Adventures of Tintin. To thank his friend Zhang Chongren, Hergé added Tintin's friend, the Chinese boy Zhang, to Blue Lotus.
When I first met Teacher Cao, the most impressive thing was not her intelligence and intellect, but Teacher Cao's WeChat avatar turned out to be a cartoon image of a puppy. But I was not sure what background this dog had that made Teacher Cao so fond of it, until this Tintin theme exhibition was held in Shanghai, which made me suddenly realize that this puppy seemed to have some mysterious connection with the puppy in "The Adventures of Tintin". Thanks to the exhibition, I have three more understandings of the preferences of the petty bourgeois white-collar workers in the magic capital.
