Black capuchin, birds of the order Pinnaceae, songbirds. The total length is about 30 cm. It is black throughout , with glowing blue upperparts , thorax and tail feathers. The tail is deeply concave, with the outermost pair of tail feathers curled outwards upwards. Sub-adults have nearly white stripes on the lower part of their lower body. It inhabits open areas, has very strong territorial behavior during the breeding period, is fierce, and likes to fight in groups during the non-breeding period. It mainly feeds on insects. It usually inhabits the foothills of mountains or on the top of trees along streams, and often falls on power lines in open areas. Often in pairs or in small groups, agile movements, shouting while flying.
It is found in southern Jilin and southern Heilongjiang to east China, central China and Qinghai, southwest China, Hainan Island and south China; migration through southeast China.
