Red Bull F1 will continue to consider Perez before the summer vacation without considering a substitution

Red Bull racing consultant Dr Hemot Marco said Red Bull F1 would not consider the 2022 season driver line-up before the summer holidays. The team will continue to encourage and support Sergio Perez, but stressed that Red Bull is attractive to some of the most powerful drivers.

Perez won two fourths and two fifths in the first five races of the season, while failing to score points in Italy and a huge gap in qualifying with teammate Max Verstappen.

Commenting on Perez's performance, Dr. Marco said: "His regular performance was very good, which is a positive side, sometimes on a par with Verstappen. He still has a lack of qualifying and we need to see his qualifying results improve. ”

Commenting on the 2021 season driver line-up, Marco said: "We also need to wait until the summer holidays to consider the driver's problem at the earliest, we are very popular in the F1 driver market. We will not negotiate or reach an agreement with other drivers until the possibility of making a formality with an existing vehicle is ruled out. ”
