Have you ever seen a carp as heavy as a child? Andy Hackett is a fishing enthusiast, 42 years old, from Worcestershire. Recently, while fishing in France, he caught a giant carp that took him 25 minutes to catch and was the largest he has ever caught.

The giant carp weighs 67 pounds (about 30 kilograms) and is one of the largest in the world, according to media reports, coming from Bluewater Lake in Champagne, France. Because of its bright orange color and goldfish-like appearance, it also has a nickname called "carrot". In comparison, the average weight of 10-year-old boys is between 24 kg and 49 kg.

Twenty years ago, the "carrot" was released into the fishing grounds, and locals only knew it to swim in the lake, but never thought it would grow into a behemoth. Fishery manager Jason Caughler congratulated Andy on catching the fish and said that although the "carrot" has been swimming in the water for 20 years, it doesn't come out often and is very elusive.

Andy said: "It was its orange scales that betrayed it. For regular fish, you'll have a hard time seeing them if they're under the surface, but carrots are obviously bright orange, so don't miss them. It is like the average big fish, heavy and swims slowly. When it ate my bait and surfaced more than 30 meters away from me, I learned it was such a big fish. It's awesome to catch it, but it's also pure luck. ”
