This is the case with Zhu Min, the daughter of Marshal Zhu De.
During her many years of youth, she spent a lot of time with her father, and suffered alone in a foreign country.
Even in order to survive, she had to pretend to be dumb for two years!
And she never blamed her father for this.
But for her mother, she still said until her later years: I can never forgive her for rebellion!
A nightmare in a concentration camp
In November 1940, Zhu Min, who had been separated from her father since childhood, returned to her father when she was 14 years old.
But within a year of staying with her father, she faced separation from her father again.
At that time, the domestic situation was tense, and Zhu Min was the time to learn cultural knowledge.
So Zhu De planned to send his daughter to study in the Soviet Union, along with Chairman Mao's daughter Li Min, Wang Yifei's son Wang Jifei, and Luo Yinong's son Luo Xibei.
Although Zhu Min is very reluctant to reunite her father who has just been reunited, she knows that she must study well and fight for the construction of the country like her father in the future.

In February 1941, Zhu Min came to the Soviet Union. But no one expected that it would not be long before Zhu Min fell into a huge crisis.
The First International Children's Institute in Moscow in the Soviet Union was founded to protect and educate the descendants of revolutionaries in various countries, and before that, a large number of martyrs' orphans and descendants of revolutionaries were sent here to live and study.

But not long after Zhu Min came here, his body was very uncomfortable because of the water and soil.
Therefore, the teachers of the First International Children's Institute had to send Zhu Min to the Young Pioneers summer camp in Minsk, Belarus for recuperation.
And this also brought great disaster to Zhu Min.
In June 1941, Hitler reneged on the Soviet-German non-aggression pact, and the Soviet-German war broke out.
Zhu Min's sanatorium unfortunately fell during the war, and Zhu Min, who was only 15 years old, and 20 other children from various countries were captured by the German army and became fascist prisoners.
After that, Zhu Min suffered a lot, not only being driven like a slave, but also often beaten.
But these Zhu Min carried it, but she did not expect that there would be greater suffering waiting for her later.
Two years after being captured in the Soviet Union, Zhu Min and the others were stuffed into tankers by the Germans and sent to concentration camps in Germany.
On the way to the concentration camp, Zhu Min developed a high fever to the point of confusion. And the air in the stuffy tanker was scarce and turbid, and Zhu Min once thought that he was going to die like this.
Fortunately, another child fed Zhu Min some water and encouraged Zhu Min: "You must hold on, your parents are still waiting for you to go back." ”
Yes, my father must be looking forward to her return, how she wants to see her father again!
When Zhu Min thought of his father, he felt that his strength had returned.
However, after surviving the hardships in the stuffy tanker truck, after arriving at the concentration camp, Zhu Min's life was still difficult.
Once at the camp, they were asked to confiscate everything on their bodies, including clothes.
Unfortunately, the only pen left by his father for Zhu Min was taken away. But the quick-witted Zhu Min took advantage of the chaos and secretly hid a Lenin medal under his tongue to avoid the search of the German army.
Here, Zhu Min had to serve hard labor every day, and the slightest mistake would invite a severe beating.
Zhu Min knew that the brutal German army could do anything, and she had seen people buried alive, people locked up in gas chambers, and others tortured to death by unimaginable means.
She herself has been cruelly treated.
Once, she had cervical lymph node tuberculosis, and when it was not serious, the Germans did not care whether she lived or died.
When she became more and more serious and affected her work, the Germans dragged her to the infirmary.
However, the doctor in the infirmary just glanced at Zhu Min casually, did not disinfect, did not use anesthetics, and directly picked up a scalpel to cut the lymph nodes on Zhu Min's neck, and then roughly squeezed out the pus.
The blood instantly stained Zhu Min's clothes red, and she was heartbroken in pain, but she didn't dare to shout out loudly.
But this was not the end, the doctor then poured another bottle of alcohol directly on Zhu Min's wound, and then drove Zhu Min out.
Zhu Min almost fainted, and it was her companion who helped her back.
Therefore, in order not to arouse suspicion of her identity, in order to survive in the concentration camp, Zhu Min has not said a word during her days in the concentration camp, so that everyone thinks she is a mute.
It was not until January 1945, after the defeat of the Germans, that Zhu Min fled from the camp.
Although Zhu Min survived the camp strongly, this period left her with lifelong illness.
Zhu Min suffered this disaster at a young age, which is heart-wrenching enough, but what is even more emotional is that this poor child has lived a sad life since he was a child.
Mothers who are born but not raised
Zhu Min's mother is He Zhihua. With a well-to-do family and advanced ideological education, she became a teacher at Kaijiang County Girls' Middle School in Sichuan Province as a teenager and was deeply loved by her students.
At the age of 19, He Zhihua met 36-year-old Zhu De under the introduction of his brother and became a partner.
In 1922, Zhu De went to Europe to carry out a revolution due to the situation, and He Zhihua also resigned and went with him.
However, when he went to Germany, Zhu De concentrated on the revolution in the name of study, and He Zhihua was different.
She hangs out with international students all day and lives a comfortable and enjoyable life.
Gradually, He Zhihua began to dislike Zhu De for being unromantic and too frugal, often arguing with Zhu De over trivial matters.
And these, Zhu De tolerated.
A few years later, the Germans discovered that Jude had participated in the revolution and expelled Jude.
Zhu De and He Zhihua turned to the Soviet Union.
In 1926, He Zhihua gave birth to his daughter Zhu Min in the Soviet Union, but it happened that the domestic Northern Expedition began, and Zhu De had to return to China to participate in the war.
In order to protect the safety of He Zhihua's mother and daughter, Zhu De decided to let them stay in the Soviet Union first.
Before leaving, Zhu De hugged his newborn daughter and kissed him, reluctantly, he said to He Zhihua: "Take care of yourself and the child, and when the situation is more stable, I will pick you up." ”
However, Zhu De did not expect that he would see his daughter again 14 years later.
And in the past 14 years, he can only tell his thoughts to a photo of his daughter when she was a baby!
At that time, as soon as Zhu De left, He Zhihua turned his head and plunged into the extravagant life of drunken gold fans.
Soon after, she empathized and fell in love with He Jiaxing, a young revolutionary who studied in the Soviet Union.
What's more disgusting is that in order not to let his daughter affect their lives, He Zhihua actually asked his sister to take Zhu Min, who was not yet one year old, back to her hometown in Sichuan, and let her sister and elderly mother take care of her children.
Although Zhu De, who learned the news, was extremely sad, the revolution was still continuing, and he could only cheer up.
But Zhu De did not expect that He Zhihua could do something more heinous.
Never forgive the mother who defected to the enemy
He Zhihua has not cared about Zhu Min for more than ten years since he sent his daughter back to Sichuan, until Zhu Min returned to her father.
In 1928, He Jiaxing was transferred back to Shanghai to become secretary to Luo Yinong, a member of the Central Standing Committee. He Zhihua also followed to Shanghai.
He Zhihua was accustomed to a luxurious life abroad, and he still did so when he returned home.
Slowly, their money became more and more insufficient, and He Zhihua started to crook his brain.
At that time, the relationship between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party was tense, Shanghai was shrouded in white terror, and the Kuomintang offered a high-profile reward for the capture of the underground party.
At the instigation of He Zhihua, He Jiaxing and He Zhihua sold Luo Yinong's news to the Kuomintang.
On that day, Comrade Deng Xiaoping was going to meet Luo Yinong, but he was one minute late and avoided this disaster.
Unfortunately, Comrade Luo Yinong was eventually arrested by the Kuomintang and heroically became righteous.
Soon, the Central Special Branch had evidence of He Jiaxing and He Zhihua's betrayal of the party, and Chen Geng led the hoe team to secretly execute the two traitors.
At the traitor's house, the hoeing team executed He Jiaxing on the spot, and He Zhihua was blinded in only one eye because he hid under the bed, leaving his life by chance.
When Zhu Min grew up slowly and learned about his mother, he was unable to forgive his mother.
Even in her later years, she said in the book "My Father - Zhu De": "I often resent my mother: Why doesn't she want me? Don't raise me? Don't give me maternal love? When I grew up, I learned that my mother had abandoned me and even betrayed my father. At this point, I, as a daughter, cannot forgive her. ”
However, although his father Zhu De has not been by Zhu Min's side for many years, Zhu Min has always loved his father.
He persevered in completing his studies and never let his father down
At that time, not long after Zhu Min was born, Zhu De was forced to leave his daughter.
Over the years, he was preoccupied with the revolutionary cause and worried that his identity would bring danger to his daughter, so he never recognized his daughter.
Although the father and daughter have been separated for 14 years, in fact, Zhu Min has "seen" his father.
When she was a child, Zhu Min often asked her aunt and grandmother who her parents were and where they were.
But her aunt and grandmother never told her explicitly.
Perhaps Zhu Min asked too much, and her grandmother looked at her pitifully, so one day when she was 8 years old, her grandmother suddenly pulled her to the street, pointed to the portrait of Zhu De on the "Zhu Mao" wanted warrant posted on the street, and quietly told Zhu Min: "This is your father." ”
Since then, Zhu Min has firmly remembered his father's appearance and knows that his father is a great revolutionary hero.
Later, the Kuomintang got news from nowhere, hearing that Zhu De's daughter might be hiding in the He family in Sichuan, so it arrested Zhu Min and his aunt and tortured them.
But Zhu Min and her aunt both insisted that they were mother and daughter, and Zhu Min escaped.
It was not until he was 14 years old that Zhou Enlai found Zhu Min after many searches, took her to Yan'an, and returned to Zhu De.
But not long after enjoying the father-daughter relationship, Zhu Min went to the Soviet Union, was captured by the German army and put into a concentration camp, and suffered a lot.
After escaping from the concentration camp in 1945, Zhu Min still did not dare to easily trust anyone and dare not reveal his identity.
It was not until January 1946, after wandering for several months, that she was found at a Soviet refugee camp in Poland and sent back to Moscow.
Zhu De, who got the news, was excited.
Since 1941, he has been writing to the Soviet Union, but all the letters have been lost.
He also asked the Soviet Union to help find it, but at that time the Soviet Union was also in wartime, and it was difficult to find people with great fanfare. So in recent years, I have not received a little news about Zhu Min.
Zhu De once thought that his daughter had been killed.
Suddenly hearing the happy news that his daughter had found, Zhu De burst into tears on the spot, immediately repaired another book, and sent it to his daughter, expressing his guilt and longing.
Zhu Min, who read the letter, also burst into tears, how could she blame her father? She knew that her father was not easy.
Even though he suffered so much because of the identity of "Zhu De's daughter", Zhu Min still loved and respected his father.
Although Zhu Min also missed her father, she still made the decision not to return to China first.

In 2009, 83-year-old Zhu Min passed away at the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army Chinese People's Liberation Army, completing her glorious life.
