Zhu Min's life can be described as a bumpy experience, in order to survive when she was a child, she even pretended to be dumb for two years, and she and her father also got together less and separated more.
Not only that, her mother's rebellion had a lingering effect on Zhu Min, and she hated every time she mentioned her birth mother, because few people could deeply appreciate the sinister of reactionaries than her.
So what did Zhu Min go through?
Became the mother of a traitor
Zhu Min was born in April 1926 on a farm outside Moscow, where Zhu De was studying and his wife He Zhihua lived with him.
The two met in Shanghai, and Zhu De was already famous at that time, and He Zhihua took a fancy to Zhu De's status and wealth before coming together with him.
In May 1926, when Zhu Min was just one month old, Zhu De received an organizational order to resolutely return to China to participate in the revolution, originally he also wanted to bring his wife and daughter back to China, but considering their safety, and He Zhihua did not want to return to China to suffer, he had to leave them in the Soviet Union.
It's just that by the time their father and daughter see each other next time, it will already be 14 years later.
Not long after Zhu De returned to China, He Zhihua because he had spent his savings, seeing that he had no head to follow Zhu De, took the initiative to marry a revolutionary young man named Huo Jiaxin, Zhu De was very depressed when he heard the news, but everyone had their own aspirations, and he didn't say much.
And He Zhihua saw that he could enjoy himself well, and he had no intention of taking care of Zhu Min, so in the summer of 1927, he entrusted someone to send the child to his sister, who lived in Chengdu.
Fortunately, this sister loves Zhu Min very much, and Zhu Min's grandmother regards the child as a pearl in her palm, although the family has a hard time, but Zhu Min's life in her grandmother's house is still very happy.
But just when Zhu Min was growing up, just when Zhu De was wholeheartedly participating in the revolution, He Zhihua on the other side became a traitor, what was going on?
It turned out that at the beginning of 1928, the organization arranged for Huo Jiaxin and his wife to return to China to participate in the work, and Huo Jiaxin served as the secretary of Luo Yinong, director of the Organization Bureau of the Communist Party of China.
Because the couple had long been accustomed to enjoying life in Moscow, after coming to Shanghai, they were even more greedy for material enjoyment, living a life of drunken money, and organized to give them 20 yuan a month for living expenses, and they still felt that it was not enough.
Not only that, in the face of the situation shrouded in white terror, they did not want to persevere to the end for the revolution, but developed a pessimistic attitude towards the revolution, and also passively sabotaged in the execution of their tasks.
However, the new couple of the Huo family did not repent, and they also became dissatisfied, and the couple became traitors together, and directly betrayed Luo Yinong, resulting in the heroic sacrifice of Comrade Luo Yinong, who was only 26 years old.
What's more, the couple prepared to hand over the list of 350 Communist Party members in their possession to the concession authorities, hoping to exchange it for prosperity and wealth, and then continue to live a luxurious life abroad.
When Zhou Enlai heard the news, he immediately instructed the Red Team (hoe team) to get rid of Huo Jiaxin and He Zhihua and take the list back, otherwise the revolution would suffer heavy losses.
Soon, the soldiers of the red team found Huo Jiaxin and his wife, and directly shot and killed the traitor Huo Jiaxin, and He Zhihua survived because he hid under the bed, although he was shot.
However, because there was no use value, the Kuomintang did not treat her, and not long after, He Zhihua died tragically, but her death could not atone for the sin of betraying her comrades.
Therefore, when Zhu Min, who grew up later, learned about her mother's situation, she was also very angry, and she never forgave her mother who was a traitor in her life.
The reason why there is such hatred is because Zhu Min himself has suffered great suffering from reactionaries.
Fourteen years of parting meet
Zhu Min's first memory of her father stemmed from a chance encounter, when she was playing with her grandmother on the streets of Chengdu and happened to see the head of the reactionary offering a reward for "Zhu Mao", and Zhu Min kept staring at Zhu De on the portrait, as if she felt something.
Grandma did not speak, quickly hugged her back to the house, and when she got home, she quietly said to her: "Child, that 'Zhu' is your father." ”
Zhu Min was stunned for a moment and asked excitedly: "Then where is he now, I want to meet him!" Grandma frowned and didn't say any more, because she didn't know where Jude was.
On the other side, Zhu De never gave up the search for his daughter, and after the cooperation of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, Zhou En, who came to work in the Guotong District, entrusted him to search for him.
In 1938, Zhou Enlai and his wife finally discovered Zhu Min's whereabouts after many inquiries, and Deng Yingchao also rushed to Chengdu to prepare to bring her to Yan'an to reunite with Zhu De.
However, Zhu Min's grandmother said that she did not agree with anything, because Zhu Min was sick at this time, and she was afraid that there would be danger on the road for her granddaughter.
Deng Yingchao was also not easy to be strong, so he found a compromise solution, took a picture of Zhu Min, and brought the photo to Mr. Zhu, and in his later years, Zhu Min still remembered that he went in a student outfit, and the photo was only an inch in size.
After Zhou Enlai got the photo, he looked at it carefully for a long time, and said to Zhu Min with a smile: "The photo is too small, your father has to wear reading glasses to see your appearance clearly!" ”
Although the father and daughter did not meet, no matter what, Mr. Zhu finally knew the news that his daughter was still safe, and he was somewhat relieved of the pain of longing.
However, Zhu Min's next life was not good, because the Kuomintang agents also heard the wind, and although it was openly said that it was the cooperation of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party at that time, Lao Jiang often did some shady things behind his back, and immediately called the special agents to arrest Zhu Min after receiving the news.
It was one day in 1940, the secret service rushed into Zhu Min's grandmother's house, and without saying a word, he arrested Zhu Min's aunt, but Zhu Min was playing outside at this time and escaped.
After the aunt was taken to the police station, she was immediately interrogated, but fortunately, the aunt was very determined and insisted that Zhu Min was her daughter, and in the end, the spies did not find conclusive evidence, so they had to let her go.
After this incident, Zhu Min's life was more careful, even if she suddenly woke up one day and was taken away by special agents, and Zhu Min's grandmother also realized that for the safety of her child, she must be sent to Yan'an as soon as possible.
In this way, after several rounds, in November 1940, Zhu Min followed a medical team of our party to Yan'an, where she finally met her father, who was in her heart.
The father and daughter have endless words, but the reunion is always short-lived, and not long after, Zhu Min was sent to Moscow to study, and abroad, she suffered a huge setback and almost lost her life, what happened?
In order to live, pretend to be dumb for two years
On January 30, 1941, Zhu Min bid farewell to his father, who had just been reunited for more than a month, and went to the Soviet Union to study with the children of other leaders.
After coming to the Soviet Union, several children were arranged to study at the International Children's Institute in Moscow, and Zhu Min always remembered his father's teachings, studied hard, and returned to China in the future to contribute to the cause of national education.
However, within a few months of studying, because of the water and soil, Zhu Min suffered from severe tracheitis, and soon, the childhood asthma also recurred, and he really could not continue learning.
In order to allow her to recuperate, the school sent her to live in the Young Pioneers in Minsk, in the southern part of the Soviet Union, where the environment was more suitable.
However, Zhu Min never dreamed that on the night she came here, the Germans launched a surprise attack on the Soviet Union, Minsk soon fell, and Zhu Min, who had no time to evacuate, was also captured by the Germans.
The Germans rigorously interrogated her, asking her whose child she was and where she came from, because her appearance was indeed too different from that of the Soviets.
Zhu Min knew that if she told the truth, she was likely to be killed, so no matter what the enemy asked, she said that her parents were called "Chiying" and her parents were old Chinese medicine doctors in China, and she was sent to the Soviet Union by her parents to receive treatment.
Looking at Zhu Min's sick look, the German army did not have doubts, but Zhu Min's life was not good, the German army would not let her work because she was a child, and Zhu Min had to do the work of loading ammunition for the German army every day.
Zhu Min and several other classmates were imprisoned in a prisoner-of-war camp built by the Germans in Minsk, where life was very difficult, and two years later, they were sent to a concentration camp in Germany, which can be called a purgatory on earth.
The prisoners held here, men, women, and children, almost completely lost their right to be human beings, the camps were smelly, and Zhu Min could see scenes of Jews being murdered every day, which left her with a lingering shadow.
Zhu Min realized that he must not expose his true identity, otherwise he was likely to die immediately, so what should he do? After all, he looks completely different from the Soviets.
On the way to the German concentration camps, Zhu Min pondered bitterly, and finally she found a way not to do it, which was to pretend to be dumb, and she bet that the Germans there would not find a flaw.
In this way, no matter how the German troops in the camp interrogated her, she did not say a word, and she kept silent when she was usually doing coolies, and the Germans believed that she was a mute after torturing her for a while.
Of course, due to the long silence, Zhu Min almost lost the ability to speak for a while.
At the beginning of 1945, the German army had become a grasshopper after the autumn, and Zhu Min and his friends could often hear the anti-communist gunfire of the Soviet army outside, and they were very excited, feeling that the day of salvation was not far away.
Zhu Min also began to rebel against German fascism by his own methods.
It turned out that at that time, Zhu Min and his partners were arranged to load the bullets in the factory in the concentration camp, and Zhu Min heard that the bullets would fail when they were wet, and in order to weaken the combat effectiveness of the German army, Zhu Min thought of getting some water on the bullets.
But where does the water come from? Zhu Min's smart move, directly secretly spit on it, at the end of the day, although her mouth was dry, she was still happy from the bottom of her heart.
On January 30, 1945, all German troops in the camp were withdrawn, and Zhu Min finally gained freedom after nearly four years of detention, she and her partners ran desperately in the direction of the eastern Soviet Union, and encountered many Soviet Red Army troops along the way, but for safety reasons, she never revealed her identity.
It was not until he met a Soviet commissar who, under his enlightenment, Zhu Min truthfully stated his situation, and this political commissar was shocked when he heard this, and quickly informed his superiors of the news, and soon Stalin ordered Zhu Min to be sent to Moscow.
It turned out that seeing that the war in the European battlefield was about to end, Mr. Zhu, who was far away in Yan'an, was more and more worried about his daughter, and he specially asked the Soviet Union to help find a child, and Stalin paid enough attention to this.
In this way, on January 30, 1946, Zhu Min finally returned to Moscow again, and she also wrote to her father who was far away in Yan'an, and learned that his father had always cared about her, and Zhu Min was very excited in her heart.
Soon, the Soviet Union's war in the European theater was over, and there were two paths in front of Zhu Min, one was to return to his father to work, and the other was to continue to stay in the Soviet Union to study, so what would Zhu Min decide?
Do not forget to teach, live a low-key life
In fact, Zhu Min also wanted to go back to China to visit her father, but she thought about it or stayed in the Soviet Union temporarily, because she felt that she had not learned anything, if she went back like this, wouldn't it live up to her father's expectations, and she decided to study for a few more years.
Zhu De was very pleased with his daughter's idea, so Zhu Min studied in Moscow for eight years, until 1953, when she graduated from university, she returned to China to work and work as a Russian teacher at Beijing Normal University.
Because of her long-term living in the Soviet Union, Zhu Min developed the habit of spending lavishly, so when she first returned to China, she always spent a month's salary in less than half a month, and she had no money to ask her father for help.
Of course, Zhu De understood his daughter, but did not indulge her habit, he smiled and said to Zhu Min: "How? Comrade teacher, you have become a poor bastard, and the salary alone is not enough? How do other people live their lives with a big family? According to your flower, don't tie up other people's necks? ”
Hearing her father's words, Zhu Min was also a little ashamed, she suddenly realized that she spent money without planning, which led to the way she is now, since then, she has paid full attention to every expense, and there has never been a situation where money is not enough to spend.
And when she saw that her father always led by example, diligent and thrifty, especially when she took the lead in reducing wages, Zhu Min also admired her father very much, and she also tried hard to learn from her father and developed a good habit of saving.
In addition, Zhu De also taught his daughter the truth of being a human being in all aspects of life, and under his influence, Zhu Min also devoted himself to the education of the motherland.
In 1976, Zhu De died of illness, leaving no material wealth to Zhu Min, but Zhu Min still felt very rich, because her father's spirit always inspired her to keep moving forward.
In her later years, Zhu Min lived a low-key and ordinary life, hearing that the masses encountered difficulties, she always selflessly donated materials with her wife, and the couple always remembered the instructions left by their father to "be loyal and honest, and do things seriously and diligently", and never bothered the country.
It is worth mentioning that on the 50th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War in 1995, Zhu Min also received a commemorative medal issued by the Russian government in recognition of her deeds during the Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War, who braved violence, strictly guarded her life, tenaciously survived in concentration camps, and finally returned to Moscow.
