Cheng Hong has been in the industry for 30 years, abides by professional ethics, exemplifies the performance of work duties, takes the lead in leading the majority of cast staff of Lanzhou Performing Arts Group to pioneer and innovate, and constantly opens up a new situation in the work of Lanzhou Performing Arts Group. She has participated in the preparation and performance management of thousands of large-scale performance activities such as the sixth "China (Lanzhou) International Drum Culture and Art Week and Silk Road International Folk Art Week", the "Opening Ceremony of the 23rd China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival", and the first to fourth "Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Culture Expo" series of exhibition and performance activities. She has participated in the promotion of the dance drama "Big Dream Dunhuang" in more than 1,500 performances in 58 cities in China and Australia, France, Japan, the United States and other countries, becoming a successful example of "more performances and more outputs" in Chinese stage art in the new century.
Cheng Hong took the initiative to rehearse the front line in her work to ensure the smooth progress of the group's work. During the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, nearly 200 cast members of the symphony orchestra, ballet troupe and choir affiliated to lanzhou performing arts group were selected for the large-scale epic literary and art evening and the Tiananmen Square Symphony Performance held by the state, when she led the team to Beijing for more than 2 months of arduous rehearsals. On the evening of September 29, 2019, the team she led participated in the large-scale musical and dance epic "Struggle! Sons and Daughters of China", was cordially received and highly praised by General Secretary Xi Jinping and other party and state leaders. On the evening of October 1, 2019, she led the cast and crew of the Lanzhou Symphony Orchestra to participate in the grand performance of the "Symphony of 1000 People" at the 70th anniversary of the National Day in Tiananmen Square, and the program was widely praised at home and abroad.
Cheng Hong was hired as "Lanzhou Jincheng Cultural Master" in 2018; won the "Advanced Individual of the First Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo in Gansu Province" by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government in 2016; and won the honorary certificate issued by the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and the Beijing Municipal Government in the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 2019.
