It is known that Hou Baolin was the most famous Chinese cross-talk performance artist of the 20th century, and was revered as a pioneering generation of cross-talk masters in the cross-talk industry. In Hou Baolin's decades of artistic career, the most famous people who praised him were Guo Qiru, Liu Baorui, and Guo Quanbao, all three of whom were well-known generation of cross-talk masters.
In 1978, to celebrate the first national science congress, the literary and artistic circles held a large evening party. Among them, there is Mr. Hou Baolin's counterpart cross-talk performance, and at this time, his old partner Guo Qiru has died, and the other partner, Guo Quanbao, although still alive, is not in good health and cannot perform on stage.
People have speculated that in this case, who can get into Mr. Hou's eyes?
When the show began, people saw that Hou Baolin walked to the center of the stage with a burly middle-aged man.

Many people are surprised, who is this man? This man was Li Guosheng, Luo Rongshou's apprentice.
Born in Beijing in July 1939, Li Guosheng has loved the art of cross-talk since childhood, is diligent and studious, and has studied hard. Before he studied with liu baorui, the stand-up king, he also studied stand-up comedy for 4 years. It was precisely because of this experience that Li Guosheng entered Master Hou's magic eyes.
What is even more surprising is that this cross-talk Hou Baolin praised, Li Guosheng teased, which has never appeared in the past. Later, Li Guosheng recalled that the original performance was Mr. Hou's teasing, and that day they all came backstage, and Mr. Hou suddenly decided to tease and swap roles. Li Guosheng's head immediately grew bigger when he heard it, and he didn't have this mental preparation at all.
It turned out that according to the nature of the science conference that day, the work they performed was called "Perpetual Motion Machine", which had many scientific and technological languages and new words, Hou Baolin was older, his memory was not as good as before, and he was worried about forgetting the words in the new paragraph, so he temporarily decided to change roles.
Fortunately, Li Guosheng has a good habit, that is, when he memorizes words, he will memorize all the words of the two people. This good habit comes in handy at critical moments.
In this way, it was not until Hou Baolin bid farewell to the stage in 1979 that the cooperation between the two ended, that is, Li Guosheng was Hou Baolin's last partner. Their representative works include "Modesty", "Talking about The Law", "The Study of Laughter", "Drunkenness" and so on.
Li Guosheng and Hou Baolin only cooperated for 2 years, and then worked with Xiaolin for 35 years. The two became a household name golden couple.
Xiao Lin is 17 years younger than Li Guosheng, and his generation is also shorter than him. He is characterized by good singing skills, and the jargon is called "Willow Live Well", but Xiao Lin's shortcoming lies in teasing. Fortunately, the cross-talk industry often says "three points of teasing, seven points of praise", and Li Guosheng's praise to a certain extent makes up for the lack of laughter.
Later, Xiao Lin died of leukemia, and Li Guosheng could not hide his grief and went to bid farewell with the illness. In 2005, Li Guosheng retired, and Xiao Lin also faded out of the stage.
In 2015, Li Guosheng had a sudden cerebral infarction, and after that, he rarely participated in various performances. In the past two years, his body has gradually recovered, and he has begun to pay attention to promoting his juniors, passing on the cross-talk skills accumulated over decades to future generations, for example, he has given Gao Xiaopan a hug for the hip-hop baggage.
On October 9, Miao Fu, the head of the Qingqu Society, updated his Weibo: "Thank you to the two elders for coming to help my apprentices perform!" As can be seen from the accompanying pictures, this "old two" are the famous cross-talk performance artists Li Guosheng and Wang Wenlin.
For Li Guosheng's re-emergence, netizens are very happy. @Na Mo Ai: The old man on the right really hasn't seen it for a long time; @ Want to be a writing machine: Li Guosheng, Wang Wenlin; @ Red Dust Bodhiker: It seems that I haven't seen Teacher Li Guosheng out of the mountain for a long time.
Let us wish the old artists good health and evergreen artistic life!
