"Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" is the first Tenger record I bought, all because of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala in 1990.
At least in the last century, for young audiences in the mainland, the focus of the annual CCTV Spring Festival Gala was which singers from Hong Kong and Taiwan were invited this year.
In the 1990 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, three singers from Hong Kong and Taiwan participated. Among them, Zhang Mingmin, is already an old friend of the mainland people, he sang two songs at this Spring Festival Gala: "Give Sincerity and Love in Your Heart" and "We Love This Mistake", the latter is actually Zhang Xinzhe's work, but this time Zhang Mingmin did not "succeed" again, did not steal the limelight of the original song because of the cover, and no longer has a work of the level of "My Chinese Heart", so in this Spring Festival Gala, Zhang Mingmin basically did not make too much impression.
The other two are singers from Taiwan, and one of them is an article. This article is not the article of the later mainland actor, but the article of an overseas Chinese singer from Indonesia, and it is also an article that later became the king of golden bell songs.
But as the original singers of "Clouds of Hometown" and "365 Miles Road", the two most classic works of the article were brought to the Spring Festival Gala by Fei Xiang and Bao Nana respectively, so when he first appeared on the stage of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, he had to choose another song.
In the end, the article chose his two new songs: "My Own Sky" and "I Am the Wind", from his two albums from the previous year, "Looking at the Sky" and "Forgive My Heart", respectively. But I don't know why, when Zhao Zhongxiang, the host of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, reported the title of the song, it became "In an Instant" and "I Am the Wind".
"My Own Sky" and "I Am the Wind" are also two songs that I like the article very much, and even think they are better than his earlier works in the "Four Seas Records" period, dashing and light and inspirational. And it was also because of the subtitles of "Own Sky" that the name Han Hyunguang was written down for the first time, and many years later it was learned that he was the leader of the "Phantom Eye" orchestra.
The article sang two songs "My Own Sky" and "I Am the Wind" on the CCTV Spring Festival Evening in 1990, of which "My Own Sky" was composed by Han Xianguang, the leader of the "Phantom Eye" orchestra
Although the effect of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala on the article is not as good as Fei Xiang and Zhang Mingmin, it is also one of the more successful singers in Hong Kong and Taiwan, because he soon held nearly 20 concerts in the mainland, and his "Wangtian" album was also introduced and sold million-level sales.
It is worth mentioning that the album "Wangtian" at the song level, although it was introduced from the original, is still very different from the original version in Taiwan. First, the back cover of the cover has been replaced with pictures, but it is really not as artistic as the original cover. Second, the name of the album was changed to "Bachelor, Looking at the Sky", which really has an inexplicable strange and laughing feeling.
And the song "Bachelor Man" is actually "Single Claim" in the original Taiwanese record, I don't know why a bachelor can't have a claim, so only Han remains. In addition, the sequence of this imported version is exactly the same as the original.
The album "Wangtian" of the article was released by "Kedeng Records" in Taiwan, because the mainland could not directly import cultural products from Taiwan at that time, so the imported version was introduced through Hong Kong's "Zhenzhi Industry" and renamed "Bachelor Man, Wangtian"
In fact, the article was on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala that year, and it was almost banned. And he made up his mind to come to the Spring Festival Gala, and then he was not banned because of this Spring Festival Gala, all of them are one person, that is, the Taiwanese singer who appeared last at this CCTV Spring Festival Gala: Ling Feng.
Ling Feng was a big popular person in the Baodao TV industry at that time, and as the host, he produced the program "Eight Thousand Miles of Cloud and Moon", which was being broadcast in Taiwan and created a new ratings record. If Ling Feng is banned because of the Spring Festival Gala, it may cause a backlash from the audience and damage the interests of the TV platform.
Ling Feng is both the producer of "Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" and one of the location hosts
It is also because of this realistic logic, so since Ling Feng can't move, then the article on the Spring Festival Gala with Ling Feng, because he did the same thing at the same time and place as Ling Feng, naturally there is no reason to be unilaterally banned.
However, it is precisely because of this incident, and after many promotions, the previous regulations in Taiwan that artists in Taiwan are not allowed to appear on CCTV have been invisibly abolished.
Ling Feng recounted the before and after of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala on the article that year
The Taiwanese media's report on how to "dispose" Ling Feng and the article on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala
Ling Feng was at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala that year, and what impressed me the most was three things: the bald head, the song "Joker", and the "Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" he mentioned.
"Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" was a program launched by Taiwan TV at that time, produced and hosted by Ling Feng. Of course, we couldn't see the show at the time.
"Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" is the first TV program in Taiwan to introduce Chinese mainland customs and folklore, covering characters, culture, historical sites, landscapes, music and dance, acrobatic martial arts, folk customs and daily life, as well as the magnificent mountains and customs of the motherland.
Because of this show, Tenger also had the opportunity to be appreciated by Ling Feng and recommended to Taiwan, so there was this "Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" album in 1990. So, the reason why I bought this record in the mid-nineties was because of the Spring Festival Gala, and Ling Feng.
The producer of Tenger this record is also Ling Feng, and the producer Shen Qingjing is the chairman of Weijing Headquarters Group, and the program "Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" is sponsored by the "Shen Chunchi Cultural and Educational Foundation" under Weijing Headquarters Group and executed by the member unit "Jinghua Cultural Business Co., Ltd." Later, Shen Qingjing also devoted himself to the rescue plan of "moving to Taiwan historical memory bank".
The program "Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" had two theme songs at that time, one was sung by Ling Feng and the other was sung by Tengger, and although the two songs had the same name, they had little to do with each other, and Tengger's "Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" was the song of the same name from his solo album in 1990.
This album is still quite mainland flavor in the early nineties, songs like "I Heard You're Going" are very similar to many songs between popular and folk songs at that time, and there are many elements of northwest wind, and you can hear the taste of the same works of singers such as Hou Muren, Cui Jian and Zhang Chu in the eighties.
On the other hand, perhaps from the perspective of Taiwan, the Mongolian genes in Tengger's bones, so his singing style naturally has a taste from the mainland hometown, especially works like "Mongols" and "Blue Hometown" with a distinct grassland style, which will definitely sound a special freshness.
Of course, Tenger singing at that time was not yet at the level of "Paradise".
In addition to not filling in some of the words himself, Tenger also arranged all the composition and part of the lyrics for the album. However, listening to the whole album, in fact, until now, I have not been too impressed with the singles.
Although this album was released in Taiwan by "Wind Wave Records", the production was actually completed by mainland musicians. There are many familiar old faces, such as the guitarist is Liu Lin, a very famous recording guitarist and guitar educator in mainland China in the 90s, the drummer is Cui Jian's Zhang Yongguang, and the keyboard is Aro, the father of the later "Arirang".
Therefore, in works such as "Little River Fish", there are still some early mainland rock styles, which can be regarded as the precursor to Tengger's later formation of the "Blue Wolf" band.
Although "Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" is a record released in Taiwan, in fact, all the production was completed in the mainland, including the performance and recording were all mainland musicians and behind the scenes at that time, and then compared with the vast majority of mainland albums released in the same period in 1990, it can be clearly felt that "Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" is quite exquisite in arrangement and production, at least not so dirty, and even rough enough that it has reached the point of being unlistened to today.
By analogy, the production of this "Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" is closer to the level of Lao Cui's "Rock on the New Long March Road", and the quality is higher than the earlier "Return of the Prodigal Son". It is also very strange, people are still those people, the shed is also those sheds, is it because of the high budget, so the quality is good?
The most interesting is the last song of this album "Go Forward, Don't Look Back", if you smoke the Suona timbre, you will find that the combination of keyboard and drum in this song, whether it is timbre or rhythm, can make you sing the original "Future Master", the arrangement of this song If you have not heard this classic of Luo Dayou, I don't believe it.
"Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moon" is released by Taiwan's "Wind Wave Records", which is also a very unique existence in the entire Chinese music scene, because it focuses on Buddhist music, ethnic music, world music, health music, spiritual music, atmosphere music and other fields, and also makes "Wind Trend Records" have a distinctive label style.
"Wind Wave Records" is also one of the first Taiwanese record companies to recommend mainland music to Taiwan and the whole world, in addition to Tengger, musicians such as Lin Hai, "Cold Wonderland" and "HAYA Orchestra" have released their own music albums in "Wind Wave Records".
"Eight thousand miles of clouds and moon", "a jug of wine for a story" ...
