The Chinese Drama Festival brings together good dramas

Founded in 1988, the China Drama Festival is an important platform for the national theater industry to display outstanding theatrical creation achievements, and is held every two years, with a distinct mass and folk nature. The first and second Chinese Drama Festivals were held in Beijing, and since the third edition, the Chinese Drama Festival has been held nationwide and together with the awarding event of the "Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award" that year.

During the drama festival, according to the performance process, the China Drama Association will organize well-known domestic experts and some audience representatives to hold a symposium on the repertoire of the performance. The 31 plays selected for this year's drama festival are recommended and submitted by various provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions and central units, and are selected through strict review and selection by the expert review team of the China Drama Association.

Among them, the repertoire of the three eastern provinces was selected for two plays, namely the Qiqihar Repertory Theatre drama "Bu Kui Fengyun" recommended by the Heilongjiang Dramatists Association and the drama "Going North" by the Liaoning Provincial People's Art Theatre, both of which are funded by the National Arts Fund.

Hecheng drama was selected for the first time on the stage of the Chinese Drama Festival, and the Qiqihar Repertory Theatre was jubilant, and the whole troupe worked hard to prepare for jingchu. On the morning of October 7, the car was loaded, and the large truck filled with performance props set off that night, and rushed to jingchu land thousands of miles away in advance; on the 13th, more than 30 members of the Qi dialect cast took a bus to Shenyang, and on the 14th, they transferred to a flight to Wuhan; on the evening of the 14th, the troupe staff unloaded the props until the early morning of the next day; on the 15th, the crew loaded the stage until more than 22:00 at night; on the 16th, the crew walked the stage and rehearsed all day.
