When Genghis Khan was not strong enough, his wife Xiaoertai was captured by another tribe and forced to be someone else's wife, and a few months later, Genghis Khan destroyed the tribe, and Xiaoertai returned to Genghis Khan, and on the way back, gave birth to his eldest son, Shuchi.

From the time when Xiao'ertai was captured to when she gave birth to Shuchi, it was no more or no less, exactly nine months, so whether Shuchi was conceived by Xiaoertai before being captured or after being captured has always been debated.

Genghis Khan recorded four sons, namely Shuchi, Chagatai, Wokuotai and Tuolei.

Chagatai was the second son of Genghis Khan, but he always regarded himself as his father's eldest son and regarded Shuchi as a "contemptuous beggar species", which was the main reason for his feud with Shuchi.

In 1213, the Mongol army attacked the Kingdom of Jin in three ways, and Shuchi and his second brother Chagatai and third brother Wo Kuotai led the right army to attack the State of Jin, and made great achievements.

In 1218, Shuchi participated in the Western Expedition, capturing the capital of Huathorn Zimo (Yulong Jiechi (present-day Nyauergench in Turkmenistan).

Later, when the conflict between Shuchi and Chagatai intensified, he returned to his division without permission and returned to his fiefdom - a vast area from the Kipchak steppe to Huathorn Zimo.

In 1227, Shuchi died of illness, and his second son, Badu, succeeded his father as the Great Khan with the support of his brothers.

After he succeeded his father, in 1235, he led the young kings of the four major families to lead an expedition to Kipchak, Poland, Hungary and other countries, and after more than ten years of arduous battles, finally established the Golden Horde from the Irtysh River in the east, the Caspian Sea in the south, the Choros in the west, and the upper reaches of the Volga River in the north.

Badu was one of the most prominent military commanders in Mongolian history.
