Silica is an immersive fusion of first-person shooters and real-time strategy games, both of which stay true to their respective genres. The game allows players to choose freely, rather than forcing them to do both.
If you prefer sand-filled boots, bullets whizzing overhead, and approaching ferocious alien jaws, then the infantry character is just for you. Not limited to infantry, you can also control any available vehicle, including huge harvesters, fast light quads, or insidious siege tanks, to name a few. Or, if you like ripping metal, then swarms and insect-like aliens are your faction of choice.
Three game modes to choose from:
The game offers variety in terms of game modes. Strategy is Silica's main game mode. In this mode, players compete for dominance by building, harvesting, and fighting enemies.
Strategy mode seamlessly combines elements of real-time strategy and first-person shooter and can be played in any combination, up to three-way clashes between factions.
Prospector Mode is a tutorial for Silica. It is exclusively available in first person and can be played in single or multiplayer mode. Players start near the landing pod and are tasked with exploring the area in search of Balterium. They will encounter enemy forces on the way and must complete all their objectives to get out alive.
The third mode – Arena – introduces a fun and crazy environment where players can choose their favorite unit and battle against each other in an unbalanced first-person shooter.

Bohemian Entertainment
Bohemia Interactive as is a video game developer and publisher based in Prague, Czech Republic. The company focuses on creating military simulation games such as Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis and the ARMA series. It is also known for its involvement in game transitions for the DayZ mod created for ARMA 2.
The studio was founded in May 1999 by Marek Španěl and released its first military shooter called Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis in 2001, which received critical acclaim and brought recognition to the studio. Operation Flashpoint was followed by a series of downturns, such as porting the game to Xbox, resulting in financial losses, and a sequel that was later developed was abandoned by publisher Codemasters. The studio struggled financially until the U.S. Marine Corps hired the studio to make simulation games to train soldiers. A new division called Bohemia Interactive Simulations was created, which was later spun off into a separate business entity. After Codemasters decided not to support the studio, Bohemia Interactive decided to develop a spiritual sequel to the Cold War Crisis called ARMA: Armed Assault. It was a critical and economic success, spawning many sequels. Smaller projects such as Take On Helicopters were also released.
