In 2013, Kozawa entered the Yunnan Provincial Paralympic Athletics Team to practice discus, javelin and shot put. At the last Paralympic Games, Kozawa won the men's discus F46 class championship, and in order to win the gold medal in this event, he set himself a goal of breaking the national record in this paralympic cycle. Two years of preparation, Kozawa trained very hard, and every time he had a strength training session, his total weight in a day's grasp was more than 2,000 kilograms, which was not easy for him to amputate his right forearm.
In this competition, Kozawa single-handedly applied for the discus, javelin and shot put three events, and in the javelin and shot put competitions that have been concluded, he won a bronze and a fourth place.
