Tiger Piran, I believe everyone is no stranger to this plant. Its leaves are slender and straight, and the surface of the leaves also has markings that resemble tiger fur, which is of high ornamental value. In addition, it is easy to maintain, there are few diseases and pests, and it is rated as the most "worry-free" green plant by flower friends.
In the cold winter weather, tiger piran will go dormant at low temperatures, stop growing completely, and only need occasional watering. After entering spring, as the temperature gradually rises, tiger piran also gradually wakes up from hibernation and ushered in the growing period. Many new shoots will emerge from the roots of the tiger piran, and these shoots will be the main force for the following year. They will gradually grow into broad leaves, making the plant fuller.
Eat some "big supplement pills"
Maintaining tiger piran in spring, many flower friends will encounter the problem of slow growth of young shoots, or even no new shoots at all. In most cases, this problem is caused by the lack of fertility of the soil and the lack of nutrients of the plants. As long as you regularly add fertilizer to the potting soil to supplement the nutrients of the plants, it can be completely solved.
The fertilizers added to Hupiran are mainly fertilizers with high nitrogen content, such as well-rotted organic fertilizer, compound fertilizer, foliage plant nutrient solution and so on. But today I want to teach you a way to make homemade fertilizer: use soybeans as fertilizer. Soybeans contain very sufficient nitrogen elements, and after proper treatment, they are made into fertilizer, which can provide a lot of nutrients for tiger piran, and the fertilizer effect is particularly good, as if giving tiger piran a "big supplement pill".
Fertilizer making method
First we need to prepare a handful of soybeans. There is no need to use too good soybeans, those moldy, hairy, unedible beans can be used to make flower fertilizer.
Put the soybeans in a bowl and soak overnight in clean water.
Put the soaked soybeans in a pot, add water and cook for a while. Cook until the soybeans are tender, then turn off the heat and let cool. Cook soybeans and cook them soft, the nutrients in it will be easier to decompose, which can shorten the fermentation time of fertilizer.
Remove the boiled soybeans from the pan and crush them with a rolling pin.
Prepare a clean plastic bottle, put the crushed soybeans in the bottle, and add 10 times the water of the soybeans. If you have orange peels on hand, you can add two more orange peels to prevent excessive odor from fermentation. If not, you can leave it alone.
Screw the bottle containing soybean water and place it in a ventilated, warm place to ferment. Soybean fertilizer will produce gas during the fermentation process, and it is necessary to unscrew the bottle cap every 1~2 days to release gas. If the weather is not particularly hot and there are no flies and other flying insects, you can also not tighten the bottle cap, leave some gaps in the bottle cap to breathe at any time, so that there is no need to open the cap every day to deflate.
The speed of fermentation of soybean fertilizer depends on the temperature. In summer, the temperature is high, and the fertilizer can ferment well in about 20 days; Spring and autumn take about 1 and a half months; In winter, the temperature is low, and fertilizer fermentation is slow, which takes more than 3 months.
After the soybean fertilizer is fermented, it can be used to fertilize tiger piran. Spring and autumn are the period when tiger piran grows vigorously, and it is also the time to apply fertilizer. Filter out the soybean dregs in the fertilizer water and take the clear fertilizer liquid on top. According to the ratio of 1:100, add the soybean fertilizer liquid to clean water, stir well to make fertilizer water, and water it with fertilizer water to the root of tiger piran, and use it 1~2 times a month. Usually after 3 times of use, the fertilizer effect will be particularly obvious.
