After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the wife of a founding general was inadvertently ridiculed by others as a "country boy" in the process of seeing a doctor, and after the founding general knew about it, he did not trigger emotions because of this, but turned his head and said a word, which has been praised until now.
Liuyang, Changsha, Hunan Province, has a total of more than 30 founding generals, so it is also known as one of the ten major general counties in New China. And the founding general we want to talk about today is exactly the one who walked out of Liuyang, Changsha, named Tang Liang.
In 1910, on the eve of the outbreak of the Xinhai Revolution, Tang Liang was born into an ordinary tenant family in Liuyang. At the age of 10, Tang Liang's father was forced to a dead end by the landlord because of his rent arrears, and Tang Liang dropped out of school to become an apprentice. During his apprenticeship days, Tang Liang began to have in-depth contact with the Chinese revolution and the Chinese Communist Party.
Before joining the Communist Party of China, Tang Liang was convinced that only the Communist Party of China could save the Chinese revolution and the fire and water.
In 1927, the Nanchang Uprising broke out, and in August of the same year, Tang Liang officially joined the Communist Party of China through the introduction of revolutionaries.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Tang Liang was entrusted with heavy responsibilities by the organization many times, and at that time, he was mainly responsible for the anti-Japanese work in Huxi. After a long period of sleep, he finally fell ill at his post, and before his condition eased, Tang Liang, who opened his eyes, ignored the persuasion of doctors and nurses and rushed to the front line.

During the Liberation War, Tang Liang was also enthusiastic on the front line. During that period, Tang Liang served as the political commissar of huaye's three corps, and Chen Shiyu, the commander-in-chief of Huaye at that time, was once rumored by plastered soldiers of the People's Liberation Army as "Chen Tang, Chen Tang, unstoppable."
At that time, Tang Liang followed Huaye's three corps to the battlefields of north and east China, and although he was the political commissar of the three corps, the people's officers and men could recognize him at first glance wherever he went. Even many soldiers of the fraternal units would cordially shout "Tang Political Commissar" whenever they met Tang Liang.
In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Tang Liang bravely accepted the tasks entrusted by the organization and successively went to many military regions to participate in the work, making indelible contributions to stabilizing and consolidating the initial construction of many regions.
In 1955, New China held a round of conferring ceremonies, and 55 founding generals, including Tang Liang, were awarded the rank of general. During this period, Tang Liang has always worked in the National Defense Commission, and as we mentioned above, because Tang Liang's workload is large, coupled with a long period of fatigue, Tang Liang often falls ill in his post.
The story to be told today takes place after Tang Liang was awarded the title, although New China has been established and Tang Liang has also been awarded the rank of general. But the life of Tang Liang's family has not been fundamentally improved, and his wife once asked him: "Why don't you use your position to find a job for your children and find a job?" ”
