All beer greenhouses on Teresa Square are improvised and each has a size of about 2,000 square meters, with its own stage and beer sales counter. People sit on traditional benches and long wooden tables, enjoy world-famous German beer and roast pork legs with local characteristics, and in addition to drinking, the streets are lit up and parades of seven major distilleries in the city also take to the streets to sing and dance. There are also many folk events such as concerts and circus performances, as well as many kiosks and rides such as carousels and Ferris wheels.

Augustine

The historic Augustinian brewery is the oldest brewery in Munich, founded by the Augustinian friars in 1328 near Munich Cathedral. After privatization, Augustiner-Bräu moved to Neuhauser Straße in 1817, where the parent company is still located today. The brewery was taken over by the Wagner family in 1829 and then moved to Landsberger Straße ("Kellerareal"). The Augustinian brewery, heavily bombed during World War II, has been restored to its former glory and is classified as a historical monument.

The venue is divided into two parts: the brewery itself on the left and the restaurant on the right. At the back, however, is the classic beer garden.

A must-visit in Munich's gastronomic tradition since the 19th century, the Weisses Brauhaus, a tavern on this street, has been around since 1540. The building is typical of the German style, functional and without frills, and the atmosphere is like an old tavern, exactly like 100 years ago. Inside there is a kitchen and several rooms, each decorated differently.

Weisses Brauhaus is characterized by white beer ( Weissbier ): each beer has a poetic and complex name with a description indicating which dishes it best goes well with. The types of draft beer are: Karmeliten Klosterbrauerei Original Dornau Pils, Schneider Weisse, Karmeliten Klosterbrauerei Urtyp Helles, Karmeliten Klosterbrauerei Brau Girgl. Prana

Another top beer hall in Munich is Paulaner Bräuhaus. Founded in the 17th century by a group of monks, the Paulaner brewery is world-famous for its original beer, which is still intact today. In 1634, San Francesco da Paola, a guest of the Neudeck Abbey, began producing a dark strong beer for them to make ends meet during Lent. The beer brewed was so good that in 1780 the Bavarian court allowed the monks to sell it: Paulana, destined to become the largest brewery in Munich.

Paulaner Brauerei changed its name three times: the Franciscan friars named their beer Salvast, but when Napoleon's army invaded Bavaria, the brewery was sold to a private person, whom he called Paulaner-Salvator-Thomasbrau. Later, the name was simply called Paulaner Brauerei. On the other hand, what has never changed is the beer production process, which for centuries has been produced according to the Reinheitsgebot, which was issued in 1516.

Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier is known for its lightness and thirst-quenching effect. It is an amber and straw yellow wheat with this beer at Weizenebeker at 8/9 °C. Today, beer is used to pair some dishes on Bavarian menus, such as goulash with beer sauce or even wheat beer sorbet. But beer can also be served with grilled fish and smoked pork chops.

The traditional dishes here are worth trying, with local beef (Murnau Werdenfelser) and pork sausage "Obatzda", served with bread, onions and chives.

Fort Luyun

Löwenbräu (literally "lion beer") is one of Munich's six historic breweries that produce truly traditional Bavarian beer: Löwenbräu has always been brewed in accordance with the ancient Reinheitsgebot method. Inside there is a huge hall called "Festsaal", which can accommodate more than two thousand people.

Its large beer garden, Löwenbräukeller, occupies the site of a brewery destroyed in World War II. Located on a terrace in the shade of the trees, the beer garden is a must-see meeting place for many Bavarians. There is also a big screen to watch all the major sporting events. A 1-liter beer costs around €7.80.

The history of Löwenbräu beer dates back to 1383, when the first beers were served at the Zum Löwen ("in the lions") inn. Löwenbräu beer is served every year at Oktoberfestbier, although in fact it is a special beer called Oktoberfestbier or Wiesenbier (from the name of the Munich park where the Oktoberfest is held), amber, fresh and brewed exclusively for the event.

Augustiner Keller

Augustiner Keller, the third largest beer in Munich, is just a short walk from the train station. Since its opening in 1812, it has 5,000 seats in the shade of magnificent trees: it is impossible during the summer months not to stop for a delicious fresh beer. Typical Bavarian specialties can also be eaten here, or you can bring your own food and enjoy it in the special self-service area.

The peculiarity of Augustiner keller stems from the fact that beer is served directly from the tap of oak barrels. A glass of beer costs 7.50 euros. The beer served is produced by Augustiner Bräu München, founded in 1328 by the Augustinian monks. Depending on the type of fermentation, the types of beer vary: Edelstoff (lager and sweet beer), Augustiner Helles, Wies'n Edel (exclusively for Oktoberfest), Dunkles (rye ale), Pils, Weissbier, Maximator Starkbierfest).

Augustinerkeller's cuisine is also worth trying. The place is more than just a brewery: here you can dine in a cozy and lively restaurant/brewery with vaulted ceilings, brick walls, complete with wooden benches and old chandeliers. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional Bavarian dishes, as well as international and vegetarian dishes.

Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu

Spaten-Bräu is the Reinheitsgebot purity method in Munich that produces beer at the Oktoberfest. Spaten (whose name means "shovel") was founded in 1397 and today belongs to the Belgian multinational InBev Spaten-Löwenbräu-Gruppe Group. Spaten is considered by many Germans to be a beer that cleanses the palate between meals.

The Spaten brewery has the following types of beers: Ludwig Thomas Dunkel (classic Bavarian stout), Spaten Premium Lager, Spaten Pilsener, Spaten Optimator (strong beer with an alcohol content of 7.2%) and Spaten Oktoberfest Beer (beer from Oktoberfest, amber), Franziskaner wheat beer.

Hackerhaus

Hacker Beer was founded in Munich. At the end of the 18th century, Joseph Pschorr bought the Haver brewery and founded a brewery that bears his name. Later, his two sons inherited one of the two breweries. In 1972, Hacker and Pschorr merged to form Hacker-Pschorr, but beer continued to be sold separately until 1975. However, the brewing method has remained unchanged for more than 580 years. The most popular beer is Hacker-Pschorr Weisse, a 100% natural beer treated with pure spring water.

Weihenstephan

Weihenstephan is the oldest surviving brewery in the world. In 725, it was a Benedictine monastic with the same name as Weihenstephan. This is where brewing begins. In 1803, after centuries of destruction by the Swedes, French and Austrians, and four times of arson, the monastery was closed and handed over to Bavaria. However, the brewery survived and was able to continue producing beer. In 1852, the Bavarian Brewing School moved from Schleißheim to Weihenstephan, where it is still taught today.

In fact, German beer in the domestic market is also huge, and easy to drink, but in the past two years German beer prices have declined, the quality is not as good as before, but many Chinese beer gradually increased prices, resulting in the price of domestic beer higher than imported beer, Lanyu culture believes that this is on the one hand because of imported beer to adapt to Chinese standards to make quality compromises, on the other hand, it is also China's overall economic development triggered by the promotion of domestic product confidence. In any case, we still hope to drink good beer at a good price and enhance the happiness of a good life. And to drink pure German beer, I am afraid that you can only go to Germany.
