Regarding the comparison of the difficulty of raising flowers in containers, according to my years of experience in raising flowers, the flowers are easy to difficult to raise in order of clay pots (unglazed ones), root control pots (Qingshan pots), Alice pots, a new generation of gallon pots, ceramic pots, cement pots, and metal pots. It is definitely best to match the soil for the plants, you can also learn it yourself, the main substrate is generally peat soil, fine coconut, humus soil or compost soil, which can account for 30%~70% of the potting soil; It is also necessary to add some substrates that increase air permeability and drainage, including the common granular soils such as cocoa, pine phosphorus, perlite, coarse sand, cinder, red jade or volcanic stone. In order to ensure that the potting soil has proper fertility, you can mix a little slow-release fertilizer into the potting soil, or mix a little rotten sheep manure or vermicompost manure.
Third, slow seedlings
If the plant just bought wants to recover faster, it needs to slow down the seedling, and the specific method is particularly simple, which is nothing more than a few words. The plants you just bought first unpack all the packaging, including the plastic film wrapped inside, paper towels or moss for the soil surface pad.
The next is to place the plant in a ventilated and transparent place, do not expose to the sun, do not fertilize, the potting soil looks dry and then water, the first watering should be watered a little, slowly watered many times. The time of slow seedling is about 3~7 days, mainly to allow plants to adapt to the home environment as soon as possible, which varies from person to person and from plant to plant.
If the plant bought back has only one soil mass, or only a little root, fill the soil in time and plant it in a container about the size of the plant, don't change to a too large pot, and gradually transition.
Third, change the pot and take care of it later
Tips: Try not to change the pot during the flowering period of the plant, otherwise it is easy to lose the buds.
After the plant is successfully slowed down, the leaves are erect and the plant is in good condition, you can change the pot with soil when the potting soil is slightly dry, and the potted plant is inverted, and the plant is directly depotted, and then transplanted into a container larger than the original pot.
When changing pots, pay attention to the newly added soil and the soil of the original soil ball should not be too different, if it is a plant cultivated with yellow soil or garden soil that is easy to agglomerate, it is necessary to properly remove the topsoil, including the soil surface and surrounding soil, to ensure that the soil that protects the root system does not disperse.
As for the choice of containers for changing pots, they have already been mentioned above, so I will not repeat them one by one. If you raise flowers on the balcony or indoors, lack of light or poor ventilation, and the potting soil dries slowly, do not use large pots, otherwise it is difficult to control the dryness and wetness of the potting soil, and increase the difficulty of raising flowers.
After changing the pot, first slowly water it many times, move to a ventilated and permeable place, if the plant state is particularly good, you can give a little scattered light in the morning or evening, about 3~5 days later, the plant state is good, and gradually increase the sunlight.
