The latest news, the Lao government has specially approved 12,000 hectares of durian planting bases to Chinese enterprises. In the future, the durian produced will be sold to China along the China-Laos Railway.

China is the largest investor in Laos and the largest investor in Laos' agricultural projects, with 239 Chinese agricultural companies currently investing a total of US$590 million in Laos.

In 2019, Huang Chengwen, the owner of the Hetianda Hotel in Sanjiang Chinatown, Vientiane, the capital of Laos, has planted 70 hectares of durian in Vang Vieng after inspection, and according to time calculations, it should bear fruit in these two years.

So far, Laos has not exported durian to China.

I myself have a soft spot for durian trade, and I have explored many times, and the biggest obstacle to exporting Burmese durian to China is the transportation problem. I once tried to transport the test product to Shenzhen, but after my friends in Shenzhen opened the goods, they were all moldy. It's just that the traffic problem can't be solved. Moreover, Myanmar and China do not have air cargo services.

In the future, China's durian price is expected to decline with the help of the China-Laos Railway.
