According to the news of the new Fujian client, the 29th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th Fujian Provincial People's Congress decided on October 22 to accept Wang Ning's request to resign as governor of the Fujian Provincial People's Government and appoint Zhao Long as vice governor and acting governor of the Fujian Provincial People's Government.

On October 19, Yunnan Province held a meeting of leading cadres in the province. Comrade Zeng Yichun, deputy director of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting and announced the central authorities' decision: Comrade Wang Ning will be appointed as a member, standing committee member, and secretary of the Yunnan Provincial CPC Committee, and Comrade Ruan Chengfa will no longer hold the posts of secretary, standing committee, and member of the Yunnan Provincial CPC Committee.

According to the public resume, Zhao Long was born in September 1967, and worked in the former Ministry of Land and Resources for a long time, successively serving as the deputy director and director of the Registration Department of the Cadastral Management Department of the Ministry of Land and Resources, and the deputy director of the Cadastral Management Department of the Ministry of Land and Resources.

In 2009, Zhao Long was appointed director of the Jinan Bureau of the State Land Inspectorate for 6 years, and in 2015 he was appointed director of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Land and Resources.

In 2016, Zhao Long was appointed Vice Minister of Land and Resources. After the institutional reform of the State Council in 2018, he became vice minister of natural resources.

In July 2020, Zhao Long was transferred to the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and executive vice governor, responsible for development and reform (grain and material reserves), ecological environment, emergency management, flood prevention and drought control, statistics, digital Fujian construction, counterpart support and other work.
