Hello, my name is Caitlyn, I am 18 years old, I started studying fashion management at RoSSo in September 2021, and I have received OFFERS from four universities: Lunyi, Manga University, Nanan and Leeds.
Since junior high school, I have had a strong interest in the fashion industry. In an art class, my classmates introduced me to RoSSo, I have a certain understanding of fashion information, usually have my own style opinions, and I was originally a business student, affected by these factors, coupled with listening to the recommendation of RoSSo teacher, I finally chose the fashion management major that made me the most loved.

For me, studying abroad in the arts is a journey to see the diversity of the world, and the universities I applied to are Lunyi, Mangda, Nan'an and Leeds. Lunyi is almost every British art student's dream school, and I am no exception, I like the strong artistic atmosphere inside, and a blogger I like is also at LCF. And the high ranking of Manchester University, plus my results can also apply, the impression of Manchester City is also very good.

To be honest, the moment I boarded UCAS and found out that UAL sent me an OFFER, I was super happy, I felt that I had really achieved my goal of entering my dream school, and the first thing I did was to share with my parents that my efforts were not in vain, and I was recognized by my dream school!
I think my strength lies in the typography design of visual projects, as well as the novel angle of the paper, my portfolio mainly revolves around fashion marketing and brand management, including visual design, market research and essay writing.

The five projects in my portfolio were brand research and analysis of my favorite brand balmain, the design of an e-commerce platform for a boutique, a paper on consumer psychology, a writing task on how AR technology can improve profitability, and a study proposal on how to improve the level of the fashion market, and I spent a lot of time adjusting the layout and design of the portfolio to ensure that it fully reflects my ability and style.
Among them, Balmain's brand research and analysis is mainly a visual project, including the analysis of competitors' business from the past to the present, and what I think can be better promoted.

The second project (buyer store e-commerce platform design) is also the same, I first conducted research and data summary for various buyer stores, analyzed the common points, how to do the start-up, and did the analysis of the product and the consumer group, and did the platform model and the page design of the website.

In general, I think it is very important to focus on showing your innovation and expressiveness in the portfolio, and don't forget to show your understanding and mastery of the history of the industry and fashion itself, so as to tug at the heartstrings of the admissions officers of prestigious schools!

I was recommended by my classmates to RoSSo, and my first impression of RoSSo was that I felt that the campus had such an artistic atmosphere! RoSSo has a very good reputation in the field of art study abroad, and the teaching level is also very high. Because the two art students around me are here, I signed up directly after understanding it.

RoSSo, whether it is a tutor with a project or a teacher who applies for academic affairs, is very responsible for his work and will answer any questions in a timely manner. In the portfolio project, I searched for some information about the project background that I didn't know much, but found that it was still a little one-sided, and then my mentor recommended a few industry-related books to me, let me buy them back and read them and then analyze this part, and I was very inspired after reading these books! I also understood some points that I didn't get before.

It is worth mentioning that what impressed me most about RoSSo was their colorful back-up project. I have participated in Xinjiang photography research, fashion elite practical training, Parsons overseas short courses, and the experience is very good, not only can I have an immersive art experience, but also get certificates and valuable portfolio output!
Among them, I participated in the Parsons fashion management professional short course project, at that time was also the first time I systematically heard the professional course overseas professors lecture, and finally produced a small paper on numbers, which played a great inspiration for my later AR project, I think if you are ready to study abroad, you can also try to sign up for these retrospective activities, which is very helpful for enriching life experience and accumulating artistic inspiration.

For future development, I hope to enter the fashion industry and work in fashion brand management and marketing, and strive to become a professional fashion management talent. In addition, I hope to make some contributions to the domestic fashion industry in the future and promote the development and internationalization of China's fashion industry.

For students who plan to take the road of studying in art, I would like to say that studying abroad is not an easy task, and you need to have enough confidence, patience and perseverance. This requires us to maintain our enthusiasm for learning and vision for the future, and constantly expand our horizons and experiences.
For students who are already preparing a portfolio and the project needs a lot of time to design, I suggest that you start planning the timeline as soon as possible to prepare, so that when it is completed in the later stage, it can be submitted to the teacher above for review earlier, and it will be more perfect to revise it later. Finally, I believe that as long as you maintain firm faith and continuous efforts, everyone will be able to realize their dream of studying abroad!
