1. Rebel against Feng to Chiang, and urgently need to sit firmly in Qilu
On May 22, 1929, Han Fuyu, Shi Yousan, Ma Hongkui and others betrayed Feng Yuxiang, who had been following him for more than ten years, and threw themselves under Chiang Kai-shek's command, and were appointed commander-in-chief of the Northwest Army, so that all troops stationed in Yu, Shaanxi, Gansu and other provinces were placed under the command of Han Fuyu.

However, Han Fuyu, who thought that betraying Feng Yuxiang would be reused, did not expect that he would not be trusted enough under Chiang Kai-shek.

2. Zhang Zongchang returned to China in an attempt to take Shandong
In July 1932, when Han Fuyu went to Peiping to handle government affairs, he met Zhang Zongchang, who had returned from Japan.
At that time, in order to catch the wind for Han Fuyu, the general of the Fengjie Department invited Song Zheyuan and others to attend, and Zhang Zongchang, who had just returned to China, was also among them.
Nowadays, for the banquet of important people, it is customary to put a personal name tag before each person's seat to avoid confusion.
As a guest who washes the dust, Han Fuyu's seat is naturally in the main seat. However, because Zhang Zongchang, who could not read big words, appeared on the banquet first, he grinned and made it to the seat that belonged to Han Fuyu as soon as he arrived.
After being reminded, not only did he not admit that he was mistaken, but he also crumpled the name tag with Han Fuyu's name on it, and said with a smile: "This should have been my seat." ”

This sentence of unclear meaning made Han Fuyu, who was already extremely uneasy about Zhang Zongchang's appearance, even more jealous.
Zhang Zongchang, originally a native of Shandong, served as the supervisor of Shandong from May 1925 to May 1928, and was not only the commander-in-chief of the Zhilu coalition army, but also established the general security headquarters in Shandong City.
Even if he didn't mention the power that Zhang Zongchang originally had in Shandong, just the fact that Liu Zhennian, who was now eyeing Shandong in Jiaodong, was still Zhang Zongchang's former subordinate, made Han Fuyu move his killing intent.
When he heard this, Feng Yuxiang said to Han Fuyu: "I heard that many people are recommending Zhang Zongchang to be the commander-in-chief of the North China Anti-Japanese Coalition Army, if he really takes this position and pulls the team south, can you still stay in Jinan?"

First of all, since they want Zhang Zongchang to die, it is best to let him be controlled in Jinan, which they can control.

Since Zhang Zongchang is a careerist, the temptation that can best make him desperate to go to Jinan is the opportunity he most wants to make a comeback.
Nowadays, bandits in Shandong are constantly suffering, it is Han Fuyu's henchman, although he has been pacified several times, but the bandits are endless, still attacking Yishui and other counties, fighting guerrilla attacks at the junction of Sulu.
For Zhang Zongchang, going to Shandong to suppress bandits and using the pretext of suppressing bandits to seize power for himself is an excellent opportunity.
Since this is the case, Han Fuyu gave him this opportunity.
3. Luring enemies with power and murdering people explicitly
Han Fuyu's first step was to invite Zhang Zongchang to be the commander-in-chief of the bandits in Shandong, so that he knew that there might be a trap, but he also had to be moved.
Han Fuyu's invitation was naturally Zhang Zongchang's heart.
Zhang Zongchang, who has just experienced countless failures and has no power in hand, can barely survive by relying on Zhang Xueliang and their help, where can he easily let go of this opportunity to make a comeback?
It's just that he just offended the other party at the wine banquet, and he has never hidden his plot, how could he invite him to share this cup of soup if he wanted to dominate Shandong?

Han Fuyu, who had not received an answer for a long time, naturally knew his doubts, so he made further overtures.
He personally took his aunt to Beiping for a meeting, visited Zhang's mansion, and even recognized Zhang's mother Hou as a godmother, and worshiped Zhang Zongchang and others as brothers.
Han Fuyu's repeated concessions made Zhang Zongchang, who had been affected by the extravagant life and swelling desires, relax his vigilance.
Coupled with Zhang Zongchang, who had always been protected by Zhang Xueliang and others, he did not think that Han Fuyu dared to do anything to him brazenly.
Therefore, he took advantage of the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, Zhang Zongchang needed a large amount of expenses in order to cope with the huge festival expenses.
Using the 400,000 yuan deposit that had been withheld by the Jinan Bank of Communications as an excuse, he went to Shandong under the pretext of returning to Jinan to withdraw money.
For Zhang Zongchang's decision, there were many people around him who disapproved, Zhang Xueliang, Wu Peifu and Sun Chuanfang, they also specially went to Zhang Zongchang's house to stop him, Wu Peifu even said bluntly:
"Han Fuyu is insidious, Jinan can't go, there is only one way to die."

But their persuasion failed to stop Zhang Zongchang, he knew in his heart that Han Fuyu had bad intentions, but in order to make a comeback, even if it was really a conspiracy, he could not give up this opportunity:

So, after receiving another telegram from Han Fuyu urging him to come to Jinan to discuss important matters, Zhang Zongchang sent Liu Huaizhou to buy a ticket for the departure that day, and resolutely embarked on the journey to Jinan.
At this point, the trap prepared by Han Fuyu for Zhang Zongchang officially welcomed his prey.
4. Elaborate hospitality, borrow a knife to kill
Han Fuyu's next step is to find a perfect excuse for Zhang Zongchang's death.
If you want him to die in Jinan, and you can't let people relate this matter to him, then you can only kill with a knife.
After discussing with Feng Yuxiang, Han Fuyu found Zheng Jicheng, a councilor of the Shandong provincial government and a feud with Zhang Zongchang for killing his father.

During the Northern Expedition, Zheng Jicheng's uncle Zheng Jinsheng was captured by Zhang Zongchang in the war, and although Zhang Zongchang was defeated, he still shot Zheng Jinsheng before leaving.

On September 2, 1932, after Zhang Zongchang, Liu Huaizhou and others arrived in Jinan by car, Han Fuyu specially sent Cheng Xixian and other important figures to the station to greet him, and asked his friend Shi Yousan to invite him to the luxurious mansion, which can be described as carefully arranged throughout the process.

Although Han Fuyu himself did not pick up people at the train station, he arranged everything properly, even the security and media were thoughtful, which naturally made Zhang Zongchang feel extremely appropriate.
The more relaxed you are in the early stage, the more flustered you will be when you encounter an unexpected situation.
Therefore, when Zhang Zongchang let go of his guard and was about to discuss with Han Fuyu about suppressing the bandits, Han Fuyu deliberately touted his achievements and did not really discuss anything, which made him suspicious, and hung a photo of Zheng Jinsheng, who had been personally executed by Zhang Zongchang, on the wall of the banquet, which made him suspicious, and immediately wanted to return to Beiping.
Sure enough, one thing after another made Zhang Zongchang feel confused, and he couldn't wait to buy a ticket for the return trip, using his mother's serious illness as an excuse to flee Jinan as quickly as possible.

He didn't know that Zheng Jicheng and his helpers had already been in ambush at Jinan Railway Station, waiting for him to throw himself into the net.
At noon on September 3, Han Fuyu set up a banquet to see Zhang Zongchang off, and with the help of Shi Yousan, taking advantage of Zhang Zongchang's only desire to leave quickly, he took away a Browning pistol that had been placed on his body and was said to be a "divine gun".

On the afternoon of September 3, when the flow of people was at Jinan Station, Zhang Zongchang, Liu Huaizhou and others were among them, saying goodbye to Shi Yousan and others who came to bid farewell.
Just as they were about to board the train, a young man suddenly appeared in the crowd, holding a gun and about to shoot at Zhang Zongchang, Liu Huaizhou saw this and pushed Zhang Zongchang into the train, so that the other party only hit the body of the train twice.
This young man who suddenly rushed out was Zheng Jicheng, who had been waiting here for a long time, shouting "avenge his father", while with the cooperation of others, knocked Liu Huaizhou to the ground, and then chased Zhang Zongchang, who stumbled and fled into the carriage.
For a while, the train station was chaotic, Zheng Jicheng desperately chased Zhang Zongchang, but the crowd in the train was chaotic, he couldn't move, and when he was about to catch up, Zhang Zongchang escaped from the train.

Later, Zheng Jicheng described this scene in the article "Killing the National Thief to Avenge His Father" that when the revenge was completed, he shouted loudly next to Zhang Zongchang's corpse: "I killed Zhang Zongchang, first, to add glory to the revolution, second, to increase the glory of the party and state, third, to eliminate harm in Shandong and the whole country, and fourth, to avenge my father." ”
At this point, Han Fuyu's plan to assassinate Zhang Zongchang was successfully completed, and Zheng Jicheng turned himself in to prison, single-handedly stopping the murder and saving the rest of the people who helped him from prison.
However, the plan to assassinate Zhang Zongchang was over, but Han Fuyu's plan was not yet completed.
5. Public opinion put pressure to save Zheng Jicheng
Zheng Jicheng, who is in prison, Han Fuyu naturally can't let him stay in prison all the time.
Soon, Zheng Ji became his father to take revenge, shot Zhang Zongchang, and the news of surrendering himself spread throughout Shandong.

As Tulu, he wantonly looted money, amassed 20,000 yuan in three years, more than 20 times that of Tulu in the past, he robbed the people's daughters, and the aunts and wives around him even had to rely on numbers to distinguish them, he gambled indiscriminately, and once lost 200,000 yuan of education funds in Shandong overnight.
Eating, drinking, gambling, smoking big cigarettes, Zhang Zongchang did everything, and was now known as the five poisonous generals.
Zheng Jicheng, who assassinated such a person, naturally became a "heroic figure" in people's minds.
The director of the Jinan Court Detention Center gave his office to Zheng Jicheng as a temporary living room, and even gave up his living room to Zheng Jicheng.
People who admired him sent gifts and condolences to the detention center, and people's organizations and social organizations from all walks of life began to send telegrams to Nanjing requesting amnesty.

Under the pressure of public opinion, in March of the 22nd year of the Republic of China, the Nationalist Government ordered that Zheng Jicheng be pardoned and acquitted.
At this point, Han Fuyu's murder of Zhang Zongchang came to a complete end.
