Regarding the rather bizarre plan of the trip, Japan explained that the visit is to reach Indo-Pacific cooperation, Japan also plans to seek the understanding of those island countries seriously affected by nuclear pollution, and specifically mentioned that Japan is also considering expanding defense exchanges with each other.
Carefully reading these words, it is not difficult to find that the first two items mentioned by the Japanese side are high-sounding, and the last one is its truest thought. Since China signed the Intergovernmental Security Cooperation Framework with the Solomon Islands, Japan has been like an ant on a hot pot, and its attitude towards these island countries has been different. For example, in June last year, the Japanese foreign minister visited Fiji and Palau, and interestingly, the last visit of the Japanese foreign minister to Fiji dates back to 30 years ago.
Talking about the issue of nuclear pollution emissions, like these small Pacific island countries, are surrounded by the sea, the national economic structure is single, the islanders have generally fished for a living, under the general opposition of all countries in the world, Japan still insists on treating the Pacific Ocean as its own "sewers", and after everything is done, it comes to seek the understanding of other countries.
What Japan really cares about is the fear of China expanding its influence among the island nations. After the news report came out, some Japanese media made no secret of pointing out that the government was planning to confront China, which has an increasing influence in the region. In April last year, Japanese Foreign Ministry officials also visited the Solomon Islands after signing the agreement, and confessed Japan's concern about China's expanding influence there. In fact, Japan's reason for worrying is very simple, in the anti-China small circle created by the United States, Japan and Australia, China is almost locked in the first island chain, and the geographical location of the Solomon Islands is destined to be like a nail, making the United States, Japan and Australia choke on their throats.
Although China's Foreign Ministry has made it clear that cooperation between China and China is not aimed at a third country, and is not aimed at cobbling together a military bloc to stimulate an arms race, this is such an agreement, which still stirs up thousands of waves, and the United States and other Western countries are like great enemies, and they cannot see the slightest "out of line" behavior in China.
However, on the other hand, the United States and Japan not only engage in an arms race around China and form military alliances, but also try to interfere in China's internal affairs. Therefore, the West should stop advocating the so-called "China threat", which is just an excuse to provoke China.
