Chaos Walk is a science fiction work with a good cast but a complete waste of their talents.

The story is set in the near future, a group of human beings for some reason to migrate to another planet to live, but there is a special phenomenon there, all the men's minds will become concrete voices and even pictures, can be heard and watched by others, the villagers here call such a strange phenomenon "noise", and there seems to be no woman in this village.
One day, the protagonist Todd (Dutch brother) accidentally finds a girl from the sky, Id (Daisy Red), and in order to help her get in touch with the spaceship, the two embark on a dangerous adventure.
The "noise" that exposes the inner thoughts is naturally a fairly fresh science fiction concept
Chaos Walking spends a lot of time explaining how it works at the beginning, and we also see that the villagers have different ways of coping in their own lives, the protagonist Todd is obviously overwhelmed by noise, often revealing his inner secrets, and some people have enough control to block the noise, such as the village chief (Max Mickelson), who can even use noise to perform illusions.
"Chaos Walking" starred the popular new generation of actors Dutch brother and Daisy Ridley, such a luxurious cast of protagonists seems to be half the success, but the results are quite disappointing. The script gives them characters that are quite flat, and even if there is a fairly good chemistry between them, the charm of the actors themselves is still difficult to play.
And the flaws of the script are not only manifested in the protagonist, but also in the story. Todd and Id encounter many enemies and allies on their journey, such as the natives of the planet and humans living in other villages, and it is strange that these characters are almost always used up and discarded during the process of the story, and the script is written without any coherence or tightness.
In addition, the defeat of "Chaos Walking" may have been revealed in the setting of "Noise", not only does the cheap special effects look quite awkward, "Chaos Walking" seems to be unclear about how to apply this sci-fi concept to the story, most of the use is only as a laugh to make the Dutch brother show "duplicity", or to show Todd's imagination of Eid, the starting logic and timing of these noises are also inconsistent, and the overall situation is quite lackluster.
All in all, "Chaos Walking" is a science fiction work with an excellent cast but a complete waste of their talents, the visual effects are as cheap as B-grade films, and the shortcomings of the script writing cannot be ignored, such a work may also be used to kill time if it is placed on the streaming platform, and it may be difficult for people to pay into the theater to watch.
