1, Nintendo's new console may be difficult to compatible with Switch
Recently, the news of Nintendo's new console is very popular, although the official announcement is not official, but the news of various gods is conclusive, and people can't help but believe it.
Recently, developer ModernVintageGamer specifically reminded players in his latest video that the huge upgrade of the new Switch hardware will mean that it will not be fully compatible with all games on the current Switch platform.
MVG says the Switch's Tegra X1 chip is outdated hardware, and it's hard for the new system to provide perfect compatibility.
If Nintendo had to keep the Switch functional, he also proposed three options:
One is the software simulation Switch environment, which requires the new hardware to have powerful functions, refer to PS3 simulation PS2, equivalent to an emulator, will encounter a lot of compatibility problems;
Second, the new SOC has the ability to be backward compatible with Tegra X1, which means that the new host must use NVIDIA's chips, and it will have to do a lot of development work, and the cost will soar. And if it is only for the sake of transition, it is difficult to say whether the gains outweigh the losses.
The third is to add a Tegra X1 chip specifically to run Switch games. This approach seems to be the most feasible, and the question is how to compromise on card slots and appearance, as well as portability.
Anyway, everyone paved the way for Nintendo, it depends on how it goes. (Dog head saves life)
2. Wiiu has been idle for many years and cannot be turned on
After talking about the new host, let's talk about the old host.
Recently, some users have reported that their Wiiu, which has been idle for many years, displays an error code when booting, and it can no longer be used normally.
The foreign user said he took the dusty Wiiu out of the box to reminisce about the past when the 160-0103 error code was displayed on the screen, and he never made any modifications and repairs.
Several other users have also said that they have encountered this problem, and Nintendo has stopped repairing the Wiiu, and it seems that it can only bear the loss itself.
Players who want to receive a Wiiu nostalgia should also pay attention to the above problem.
The Wiiu, released in 2012 and discontinued in 2016, is backward compatible with the Wii console, and has sold about 14 million units in its career, which is an extreme failure and one of Nintendo's pains.
But it laid the foundation for the Switch's dual-mode prototype, and hopefully the next generation of consoles will not repeat its mistakes.
3, British Nintendo released a new screenshot of Zelda
Ying Ren recently released four screenshots of the game "Zelda Teleportation: Tears of the Kingdom".
One is Link's horse racing in the grasslands where the rising sun rises, one is fighting stone men with swords, one is a monster shooting the sky with a bow and arrow, and the last is a new track gliding gameplay.
This picture makes me a little inexplicable, isn't the previous video already posted? Yingren's news is also too backward.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be officially released on May 12, 2023.
4. The archive disappeared after the update of "Pokémon: Zhu/Zi"
GF released the 1.2.0 game update at the end of February to address bugs and improve the game experience.
Last week we reported that the new Pokémon eggs could not be deleted after the "Special Taijing War", and it can also be attributed to players not upgrading in time.
This time it is even more outrageous, some players update 1.2.0 and find that their saves are missing.
The save is the player's life, the hard progress is gone, and anyone will go crazy. And the mechanism of saving disappearing is unknown, some old saves are damaged when building new games, some disappear when linked with Pokémon GO, and some find that the money has returned to zero after purchasing DLC.
These players contacted Nintendo, and there is no specific solution given by the official at present, but it is recommended that everyone teleport Pokémon to "Pokémon Home" as soon as possible to ensure safety.
5. "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" won the pre-sale championship
In the new week of the Japanese Amazon pre-order list, "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" won the championship. From this we can get a glimpse of the popularity of the current game.
The specific ranking is as follows:
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom switch
- Final Fantasy 16 PS5
- Resident Evil 4: Remastered PS5
- Resident Evil 4: Remastered PS4
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom of Japan Limited Edition Switch

6. Fans make their own "Mario Kart 8" Zelda Circuit
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition is launching 6 tracks with a total of 48 tracks, and fans are still not satisfied, and they have made their own tracks in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
The track offers different scenarios for each lap, starting with the Kokiri forest on the first lap and moving on to the plains and other places; The second lap came to Lake Hylia, and the final third lap ended in the Death Mountains.
These familiar scenes are reminiscent of the fond memories of Ocarina of Time, but unfortunately the author RiazorMC did not intend to release this mod.
7. GTA6 may be launched in 2024
According to Uncle Tez2, GTA6 is likely to be launched around Christmas 2024, no later than early 2025, because this is the last time T2 executives can allow.
Due to the epidemic and leaks, the internal morale of R Star is low and development is slow. Tez2 also said that if the progress does not keep up, the game content is likely to be reduced, and then the story will be completed in the form of DLC.
8, Sony ready to develop PS6?
Mark Cerny was the designer of the PS4/5 and made a big contribution to Sony. Recently, Dictator, a reporter from the Shumao News Agency, revealed that the hardware involved in a new patent submitted by Cerny himself related to fiber tracing acceleration has nothing to do with PS5, and is more like preparing for the next generation.
According to Sony's previous documents, PS6 will be released after 2027, and "The Last of Us 3" may become an escort game.
So it makes sense to set up a project now.
9. The developer of "Aragami" was disbanded
Finally, a sad piece of news.
Spanish developer Lince Works has announced that it will close the studio in April 2023, and new games in development will also be put on hold indefinitely.
Lince Works has developed the Aragami series of games that have attracted attention for their assassination gameplay similar to Celestial Curse. They said that the last few years have been very difficult, and "Aragami 2" has not sold well, and it is difficult to sustain economically, so they made the decision to disband.
"Although we are closing, the memories of us and the players will live on forever." The developer finally wrote in a tweet.
In good conscience, the "Aragami" generation is still good, the 2nd generation should not expand the scale, let the studio bear too much pressure, and the small company's technical ability is not up to it, and it will seem uncommon to want to benchmark with 3A.
Finally, I wish them to be able to find their dreams in other fields.
That's all for today, I hope you enjoy it.
Your attention is my greatest encouragement.
