Public information shows that Li Yaning, male, born on August 26, 1950, joined the Communist Party in 1969 and was born in Guilin, Guangxi. He graduated from nanjing platter foreign language college and Shijiazhuang army command college. In 1968, he served in the 66th Army, and in 1971, he was transferred to the 337th Regiment of the 38th Army of the Army as a platoon commander and company instructor of the infantry company; in 1978, he was transferred to the Nanjing People's Liberation Army Foreign Language Institute as a department, academy training staff officer, and cadet team leader; in 1989, he was transferred from the regimental staff officer of the Military Training Department of the General Staff Department.
From 1989 to 1990, Li Yaning was a consultant of Hong Kong Yingzhijie Trading Company, from September 1990 to July 1992, he studied for a master's degree in international business at Texas State University in Dallas, in August 1992 he was the chairman of Beijing Oriental Tianyou Economic and Trade Co., Ltd., and in 2014 he was the chief consultant of Shenzhen Zhongheng Yiyuan Investment Management Co., Ltd.
On the evening of April 9, a reporter from The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) confirmed from Mr. Li Yaning's relatives and friends that Li Yaning was the son of Li Tianyou, the founding general and former deputy chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and had written a book entitled "My Father Li Tianyou."
