Rapid advances in technology and innovation have improved the social, economic and political status of women and brought unprecedented progress, but they have also brought new challenges that may perpetuate and deepen existing patterns of gender inequality.

In order to recognize the impact and risks of digital transformation on women, to ensure that women's needs and rights are systematically taken into account in the development of science and technology, to promote their active participation and decision-making in science, technology and innovation activities, to share best practices in global policies and programmes to enhance digital gender equality and inclusion, and to enhance the exchange of best practices and knowledge on the design, development and deployment of gender-responsive technologies, on the occasion of International Women's Day, 8 March 2023, The Globalization Think Tank (CCG) and UN Women will jointly host the "DigitALL - Technologies and Innovation for Gender Equality in the 21st Century" workshop.

As a professional seminar integrating government, industry, academia, research and capital, and including experts in various fields such as foreign affairs departments, this time will focus on the two key tracks of technology and innovation, focusing on two major topics:

1. Gender-responsive technology design, development and deployment and gender-inclusive innovation and digital ecosystems

2. Women's protection and economic empowerment in the context of digitalization and innovation

In the era of women's awakening, the proportion of female executives in the global fashion industry is increasing year by year, but it is also a fact that women are still rarely empowered in the field of technology and innovation. Women's access to science and technology and leadership positions remains limited, and they are rarely seen as technology developers, enablers and decision-makers. The harsher reality is that while there is little female power on the tech side, there is still a continuity between online and online gender-based violence that excels, and technology often exacerbates the level of violence committed by individuals or institutions.

In fact, the entry of women into technology leads to more creative solutions for industrial development. Moreover, the resulting potential for innovation is not only to meet the needs of women's social recognition, but also to promote gender equality. The design and adoption of gender-responsive approaches in innovation, technology and digital education creates tremendous opportunities to accelerate the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
