South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced today that it has installed and flown the domestically produced AESA radar on the 4.5-generation KF-21 Falcon fighter 003 prototype.

The KF-21's AESA radar, developed by Hanwha Systems, has already undergone flight tests on domestic and foreign contract aircraft. The latest flight tests mounted the radar directly on the KF-21 and allowed testing the integration of various systems.

Radar tests of the KF-21 will be carried out in parallel with flight tests of the aircraft until it enters service in 2026.
