Zhang Zuolin's rise began with a flight. In the fifteenth year of Guangxu, when Zhang Zuolin was 14 years old, his father Zhang Youcai had a quarrel with people because of gambling debts, and was stoned to death by Wang Er, a gambler in his village, and threw his body into the river, and was found by his family's big yellow dog, and brought the owner Wang Shi to the scene. Zhang Zuolin was angry and carried a gun with his second brother Zhang Zuofu to take revenge. However, after they arrived at the enemy's house, they did not beat the enemy to death, but beat an old woman to death, and for a while, the Zhang Zuolin brothers panicked. In the end, Zhang Zuofu was arrested, and Zhang Zuolin was able to escape by chance.
Zhang Zuolin committed a crime, and in order to avoid the arrest of the government and the retaliation of the enemy, he could only choose to run. This run made his life change the trajectory of the operation, and since then he has met the original match Zhao Chungui, joined the army, followed the bandits, and was recruited, which can be described as all relying on this run.
In 1894, when the Sino-Japanese War broke out, the Qing army recruited troops at Yingkou, and Zhang Zuolin, who wandered here, actively responded to the call, applied for enlistment, and was fortunate enough to pass the physical examination and political examination, and became a cavalry under the Qing army general Song Qing.
Coincidentally, Cao Kun was also under Song Qing at that time, and the two could be regarded as comrades in the same trench, but Cao Kun graduated from a regular military academy and was a petty officer. And Zhang Zuolin was also promoted to a junior officer (sentry chief) because of his good performance in the army, coupled with his good kung fu in shooting right away.
Zhang Zuolin
In 1895, after China's defeat in the Sino-Japanese War, Zhang Zuolin fled back to his hometown, returned to his old profession, and became a veterinarian. This year, Zhang Zuolin was 20 years old and married Zhao Chungui, the daughter of the landlord family in the same village, Zhao Chungui is Zhang Zuolin's original match and Zhang Xueliang's biological mother.
Zhang Zuolin was unwilling to be a veterinarian, so he went to join the hero Feng Delin. Feng Delin was the bearer of southwestern Liaoning, known for his chivalry, he had a large territory, many horses, and could eat both black and white, and when he saw Zhang Zuolin coming to cast, he arranged him under his subordinate Dong Dahu. Since then, Zhang Zuolin has joined the green forest and become a Hu bandit.
The northeast of the late Qing Dynasty and early People's Republic has always been coveted by various forces, and it can be said that it is a place where opportunities and hardships coexist. Zhang Zuolin was very clever, crisscrossing between the Japanese, Russian and Qing governments, constantly exploiting profits and waiting for opportunities to expand his sphere of influence. By the time of the Xinhai Revolution, Zhang Zuolin had seven battalions in his hands.
After the Xinhai Revolution, Zhang Zuolin fished in troubled waters and took the opportunity to be recognized by Zhao Ersun, the governor of the three eastern provinces, and with the efforts of the two, he realized the situation that the three eastern provinces were temporarily not independent, and became the premier troubled hero in the northeast region. By 1916, Zhang Zuolin sat on the throne of the Fengtian Overseer, and his influence was growing, becoming a famous warlord.
Since 1920, two direct wars have broken out in the country. After two battles, Zhang Zuolin gained the upper hand and smoothly took control of the Beiyang government. By 1927, Zhang Zuolin was elected as the Generalissimo of the Beiyang Army and Navy, becoming the supreme ruler of the Republic of China at that time, and his power also developed to the peak.
At that time, Japan was eyeing China and was bent on conquering China, and if it wanted to conquer China, it must first conquer Manchuria; If you want to conquer the world, you must first conquer China. And to conquer China, we must use the northeast as a springboard, which coincides with Russia's Yellow Russia plan.
To this end, Japan used Lushun as a base and established the Kwantung Army in 1919, and its power encroached on the northeast. Under the noses of the Japanese army, the Chinese army will never be allowed to become bigger, unless this person is a loyal lackey of Japan. If you are anti-Japanese, it is harder to become big than to climb to the sky. You can't flatter the Japanese in words, you must make real traitorous behavior, so that the Japanese can get real benefits.
So did Zhang Zuolin betray the interests of the nation? In 1917, the Siping-Zhengjiatun railway was built and opened with the assistance of the Fengtian authorities; In 1923, the Zheng Tao Extension Line of the Sizheng Railway was completed and opened to traffic; In 1928, the Gidun Railway was completed and opened to traffic; In 1923, the entire line of Sitao Road was completed and opened to traffic; In 1924, the Tiantu Line was completed and opened to traffic; In 1926, the Taoang Line was completed and opened to traffic; In 1928, the Gidun Railway was completed and opened to traffic.
With these well-connected railway lines, Japan was able to transport troops to China, weapons and ammunition, and strategic materials; With these railways, the Japanese army was able to frantically grab the resources of the northeast. Yuan Shikai did not dare to agree, Zhang Dashuai did it, making the Japanese dream come true. Zhang Zuolin was really an anti-Japanese vanguard and the first patriotic hero in history.
However, Shu made a big move, and had always wanted to win over the Japanese who used Zhang Zuolin, and saw that Zhang Zuolin was difficult to tame, so he decided to assassinate Zhang Zuolin. The next thing is clear to everyone: in 1928, the Japanese blew up Zhang Zuolin's train in Huanggutun, Zhang Zuolin was seriously injured, and later died at the age of 54.
Huanggutun
Zhang Zuolin unified the northeast during his lifetime, and under his rule, the economic and military development of the northeast was relatively fast.
Zhang Zuolin and Zhang Xueliang's father and son promoted the reorganization of the army and the rule of government, such as opening mines, building railways, building power stations, setting up banks, running schools, etc., and the economy of Northeast China occupied a pivotal position in China at that time.
Although he was lured and threatened by the Japanese minister, he resolutely refused to allow the signing of a treaty of humiliation and humiliation, and was hated by the Japanese military department, and was killed near the current Shenyang Huanggutun.
In April 1927, he killed Li Dazhao and other communists and suppressed the student leaders of the demonstrations, which was his negative impact.
