Inzaghi: I wanted to keep playing, but I couldn't wear a shirt other than Milan

In an interview with DAZN, Filippo Inzaghi said that he wanted to continue his career after leaving Milan in 2012, but he could not convince himself to wear the shirt of other teams other than Milan.

Inzaghi said: "I am the head coach to thank Galliani, my brother Inzaghi Jr. and agent Tynti, who persuaded me to follow the right path, and now I have to say that what they said was true. ”

'Actually, to be honest, when I left Milan in 2012, I didn't think about retiring, but I didn't think I could be a manager, I just wanted to stay in the football world, but even after the age of 40 I still can't accept the idea of retiring.

'I was thinking about continuing to play until after the match against Novara, but I also realised that when I went through everything in Milan, the feelings I had for Milan after I scored in that game were very strong, I knew I couldn't convince myself to wear the shirt of a team other than Milan.'

Inzaghi is currently coaching Benevento in Serie B, and is currently unbeaten with 15 points in 7 series of Serie B matches.
