In Fujian Zhangjiangkou Mangrove National Nature Reserve, with the continuous advancement of protection work, Chinese white dolphins frequently appear here. Recently, Yunxiao County observed a pair of Chinese white dolphins.
Zhangjiangkou Mangrove National Nature Reserve is located at the mouth of the Zhangjiang River, and the picture shows two Chinese white dolphins found in the daily patrol near the stone alum tower of the reserve. The white dolphin has a slender body, full of silver and white, sometimes churning, sometimes floating sideways, as if enjoying the beautiful scenery.
The Chinese white dolphin belongs to the national first-class protected animal and is also commonly known as the "mermaid". Because of its scarcity in number, it is also known as "water giant panda". At the same time, because of its very high water quality requirements, it has also become a living indicator for testing the marine ecological environment.
In recent years, with the continuous improvement of conservation work, Zhangjiangkou Mangrove National Nature Reserve has become one of the most diverse and best-growing mangrove natural communities in mainland China, where in addition to Chinese white dolphins, rare wild animals such as black-faced spoonbills and yellow-billed egrets have repeatedly come to inhabit.
