Breakdancing has not been developed in the country for long. In the past, Chinese athletes participated in the competition, using the name of the training team or the external training team. Starting with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, breakdancing will appear as an official sport in the Olympic Games. In preparation for the Olympic Games, on January 9 this year, China Sports Dance jointly established a national breakdancing team in the true sense. The newly formed national breakdancing team is divided into two teams, men and women, with a total of 8 members. The four members of the men's team are Shang Xiaoyu, Qi Zening, Zhang Xinjie and Yu Ziang, and the four members of the women's team are Liu Qingyi, Zeng Yingying, Zheng Ziyan and Peng Ying.

Fortunately, with the support of his parents, Liu Qingyi gave up going to school and went to special study. After entering the national team, I received strong support from the country! Training and participation are guaranteed. Therefore, she grows very fast! At the 2021 World Breakdancing Championships, Liu Qingyi only finished ninth. At last year's World Championships, Liu Qingyi lost to today's opponent Ami Yuasa in the final and won the runner-up. And in the sub-stage of this Olympic points competition, Liu Qingyi stepped on the shoulder of Ami Yuasa to the top, proving her strength!
It is not far from the opening of the Paris Olympics. China's breakdancing national team wants to make it to Paris, and the World Championships in Belgium in September, and the subsequent Asian Games, will see the winning athletes get a direct promotion spot. In comparison, the Chinese breakdancing women's team has a better chance of qualifying than the men's team.
