Ludwig van Beethoven

(Ludwig van Beethoven December 16, 1770-March 26, 1827)

Born in Bonn, as one of the representatives of the Viennese classical music school, he was a famous composer of the European classicism period.

Beethoven spent his childhood under his father's strict and harsh education, which created his stubborn, sensitive and excited character.

Settling in Vienna at the age of 22, the Third Symphony, composed between 1803 and 1804, marked the maturation of his work.

In the following 20 years, his numerous musical works pushed classical music to the peak through strong artistic appeal and grandeur, and heralded the arrival of Romantic music in the 19th century.

Beethoven died in Vienna on 26 March 1827 at the age of 57.

Beethoven composed a wide range of themes during his life, including 9 symphonies, 1 opera, 32 piano sonatas, 5 piano concertos, several orchestral overtures, violin and cello sonatas.

Because of his significant contribution to classical music, the development and innovation of the structure of sonatas and symphonic suites, he was revered by later generations as "the saint of music" and "the king of symphony".

Symphony No. 9

It was the peak of Beethoven's lifelong music writing career, the first performance in Vienna on May 7, 1824, when Beethoven's deafness could hardly hear his works, but the performance was so successful that the final thunderous applause lasted for a long time, but Beethoven could not hear, or the female singer helped him turn around to see the warm scene in front of him, at this time the audience also realized that Beethoven did not hear the applause before turning around, and the applause of admiration broke out again.

This symphony shows the energy gathered by people's struggle for freedom and equality and breaking through the shackles. People from longing for freedom to gaining freedom are so sacred and joyfully expressed by the chorus.

Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is not only beautiful and touching in melody, the chorus is full of sacredness and grandeur, and the music fully reflects the author's own ideological nature.

The second movement, the extremely lively Allegro.

In general classical music, the second chapter of the symphony is mostly slow, often showing a leisurely, sweet, deep, romantic and other emotions suitable for slow rhythm.

Beethoven broke the tradition of a slow movement in the second movement of classical symphonies.

It shows the clear passion of the subject, full of energy, with the characteristics of an energetic Austrian folk dance, with a nervous mood.
