Most people think that "small bridge flowing water" is a typical image of Jiangnan water town, but during the Tang and Song dynasties, it often appeared, even first, in poetic works depicting scenery in other regions, and it was only from the Southern Song Dynasty that it began to be used more and more to depict Jiangnan. It was also from the Southern Song Dynasty that "small bridges and flowing water" began to appear in landscape paintings depicting the scenery of the south of the Jiangsu, but it hardly became the subject of the paintings, and began to change by the middle of the Ming Dynasty. Historiography is closely related to frontier studies. Frontier affairs were a major theme in state politics during the Qin and Han dynasties. Most of the influential historians of the Qin and Han dynasties contributed to the construction of frontier studies, and their ideas of frontier studies were often related to their border political practices. Lu Jia and Jia Yi were the first political commentators and historians to summarize the history of Qin. Lu Jia envoyed South Vietnam, and Jia Yi served as the king of Changsha. All of them had participated in the handling of political affairs in the direction of the "Southern Domain" and "Southern Domain".
