The monk came to Shi Xian and said to him, "I live in the south of Mount Wutai, where there are dense woods, babbling water, far from the noisy earthly world, it is a quiet place for our monks to escape the summer, the donor does not go with me to visit, if the donor does not go, I see that the donor is about to die of fever, and I feel uneasy leaving you here alone!" ”

At that time, the heat was in full swing, and the monk was worried about himself and persuaded him to go to the summer, so Shi Xian replied, "I am willing to go with the master." ”
So the monk led Shi Xian to the west, and after walking for a few miles, sure enough, there were very dense trees and babbling water, and in a pool of water, Shi Xian saw a group of monks soaking in the water. Shi Xian felt very strange. The monk explained to him, "This pool is a pond of Xuan Yin, and my disciples bathe in it to eliminate the heat. ”
The monk took Shi Xian around the pool, and Shi Xian was still surprised why the monks wanted to soak in the water to escape the heat. When Shi Xian looked at it, he always felt that the monks in the pool seemed to look the same.
As the sky darkened, the monk said to Shi Xian, "The benefactor can listen to the sound of my disciples reciting buddhist scriptures. Shi Xian stood at the edge of the pool, and the monks in the pool began to chant together. After about a meal, a monk in the pool took Shi Xian's hand and said, "The benefactor can come down and bathe in the pool with us, you don't have to be afraid!" ”

Shi Xian then followed the monk into the Xuan yin pond, only to feel that the pool water was very cold, Shi Xian kept shivering, and suddenly woke up. After waking up, Shi Xian saw that he was still lying under a tree, and all the clothes on his body were wet, and he felt very cold.
It was already dark, and Shi Xian hurried to the cottage to rest for the night. The next day, Shi Xian's condition improved slightly, and he began to hurry again. Walking on the road, Shi Xian heard the cry of frogs next to the road, and his heart tightened. The sound of the frog was too similar to the sound of the monks chanting in yesterday's dream. So I walked in the direction of the sound of frogs, walked a few miles, saw a dense forest and a pool of water, there were many frogs in the pool, and then looked at the stone tablet next to the pool, and wrote "Xuan Yin Pond" three big characters.
Shi Xian suddenly woke up, and it turned out that the monk in yesterday's dream was a frog in this pool. He said to himself, "Isn't it a monster that the frog in this pool can change into a human form in a dream and influence others?" So Shi Xian killed all the frogs in this pool!"
