Where there are people, there are rivers and lakes, and rivers and lakes are a vanity fair.
The 2003 edition of "The White Tower," which featured Toyoko Yamazaki in 1967, has been remade three times to an impeccable rendition of the masterpiece of the same name, and has generated a whopping 36% viewership in Japan, surpassing the Showa version of the classic that was previously considered insurmountable. It can be said that this version of "White Tower" represents the highest level of Asian TV dramas.
Naturally, the ultra-luxurious cast of actors - Hideaki Karasawa, played by Shuji Satomi, Yosuke Eguchi, Keiko Hanamori, Yuji Ishizaka, Played by Professor Higashi Sadazo, Junko Takato, and Iwu Masaka, played by Professor Uchiha, have made the film's gripping charm. The music that reverberates from time to time in the play, "Amazing Grace", is a well-known Christian song in the Western world, composing the notes of divinity in the complex human nature. The other characters are also very full of characters, with special emphasis on the psychological changes of some minor characters. What impressed me most was that dr. Caiqian closed his eyes lightly before each major operation, and practiced alone in front of the open window, which was quite fatalistic. He has saved more than 3,000 patients, is already Japan's number one surgeon, and is a rising star in the world's medical field. Cancer experts who never admit defeat or admit mistakes, who are bent on conquering the world and saving mankind, are only slacking off on their own health, and it is too late to discover the fourth stage of lung cancer. Unable to save himself, this is probably the difference between man and God. He was a man who longed for fame and status, came from a humble background, and relied on a scholarship to complete medical school. From the young and crazy belief that absolute strength can be achieved, to the intricate network of interests later in the intricate network of interests, he finally knows that only with power can he realize his dreams. Kikukawa, who lost the battle for professors to him, said: "Professor Higashi and the minister of the stern just used me as their tool, while Toyomae used the people around him as his tool, and that's why he won." But it seems to me (and perhaps his lover Keiko Hanamori thinks so, she understands Sagae, so he only depends on her), Dr. Sagae is nothing more than a boy who loves to play political games, and the happiness brought to him by fame and power is no different from a little boy's love for Transformers and remote control planes, because he has come to an unpredictable and unprecedented wonderful world, a world where he can fly freely with simple dreams and creativity, a new world that belongs to him. Dr. Caiqian's inflated ambitions and desires are evident in the interplay of funds, his justified justifications and lies in court, and the ruthlessness and composure of his schemers that we once hated, but felt regret and heartache when he fell. Why is it that when he was diagnosed by Satomi with only three months to live, he said "I'm not afraid, I'm just... Feeling sorry", when he collapsed weakly on the hospital bed and told his father-in-law to take care of his wife Apricot, when he embraced Hanamori with his last strength and extended his paralyzed right hand into the void, when he held the hand of his best friend as he died and asked him to continue his research to defeat cancer, the tears would suddenly flow down. That's because his seriousness and dedication touched me. Because he's a good doctor. For He is not a God. Because he is a real person, a person who has love and hate, who has brilliance and flaws. "In the face of every patient, every operation, I take it seriously and do my best to save the lives of patients. Am I doing it wrong? In this upside-down world of inexplicability, what is right and what is wrong? From the perspective of the attitude and utilitarian attitude towards patients, The concept of Dr. Caiqian and Dr. Satomi is completely different, and Caiqian thinks that surgeons should have enough determination and imagination and should not waste time on unsaved patients. Rimi insisted that every patient should be benevolent, and that scientific research could be carried out without the support of power. I assert that he is an idealized man. Without funding and equipment (and experts), everything is nonsense. In this real world, such people cannot survive, let alone fight on the front line of the cause of cancer. But the two agreed on one point: to uphold and follow through on their beliefs. Sometimes I even think that Satomi is a perfect illusion created by the former doctor of The Fortune in order to gain the strength and will to move forward. "Only we... Can save the world. No one can replace us, see you. More than forty years ago, Yamazaki wrote this book with the intention of exposing the dark underbelly of the power and money transactions in the medical industry, election bribery, and various ugly crimes in doctor-patient disputes. If there is a fairer order, a cleaner heart, maybe Caiqian can become a better doctor, Satomi will not be driven out of the wave speed doctor, maybe the innocent are still alive, the simple person does not need pain, maybe Caiqian and the teacher have never turned against each other, and have always fought side by side with their best friends. Who knows?
I used to be very conflicted when watching the whole film, because I was confused about why I would support the characters on the dark side, the more sinister and cunning I liked it, but I was full of disgust for the character of the tall and complete. But after watching the whole drama, I believe that as I get older and deepen my society, I will understand this TV series more thoroughly. It's not the most engaging and exciting film I've ever watched, but it's definitely the TV series that has prompted me to think and examine myself the most so far. The 5-star recommendation is definitely not an exaggeration at all.
